SEMBREAK is Fast Approaching! :)

Hey there everyone! How are you all doing? Me, I'm doing fine! So, yeah, the title of the blog post says it all! OUR sembreak is fast approaching, while for others it has already begun. In our case it's still one week to go! This week would be our exam week! There are no classes tomorrow in our country because of the SK (Sangguniang Kabataan) Elections. At my age I am already allowed to vote, but still, I can't vote tomorrow because I wasn't registered, and besides, I don't really know who the running candidates are, so voting, in my case, would be useless after all.

So, what have I been up to this week?

It's so amazing that my colds are gone in just a matter of days! By the way, I forgot to tell you that I was suffering from colds last Thursday until last Monday. I almost couldn't breathe that well with the cold! So, I thank God for giving me this miracle! I once prayed to Him hoping that my colds would be gone, so that I could at least enjoy the fast-approaching sembreak with good health! Turns out that He answered my prayers, and I thank Him for that! :D I am just so grateful! :)

Last Wednesday, October 20, StarLab visited our school to show us the wonders of the sky at night! We learned a lot about the stars, constellations, the solar system, and many others! We enjoyed the facilitator too! Here's a souvenir from the show!

On the evening of Friday, and during the weekends, I was busy downloading digiscraps and fonts for digital scrapbooking at Shabbyprincess.com and Dafont.com! Check these sites out! They have a lot of great resources! They could be useful for decorating on the web and on Adobe Photoshop!

By the way, I have a new pen that writes so well, or I guess it just cooperates with my hand when I write! haha .. Here it is:

I really love this pen! I wish I bought a lot of it! I guess I had just bought 2 of them. -__-

You're asking about the notes I have there? They're for Advanced Algebra, and I'm studying the lesson about "Distance". Speaking of studying, I'm studying for the fast-approaching exams this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday! And you know what sucks? I forgot to bring home most of my books for me to study. Now I'm left with a few books and notes on notebooks that still depend on books for me to understand them more. Oh, why am I so forgetful! It's the 2nd PERIODICAL exam pa naman. Well, I'm planning to get my books tomorrow in school. I'd sacrifice my time going there just for me to be able to study.

I have always thought to myself that for this 2nd Grading period, I should really make up for what I have lost in the 1st Grading period. You know, I have to double my effort since the top first honor during the last grading period had the general average of 96.82%, and for those who didn't know mine, mine's only 95.95%, and you know how bad I'd want to get that top rank back! T_T So bad that I really cried seeing my chances of being a top first honor fading away. I hope it wouldn't continue to fade! I want it to re-appear! Please God! Help me!

By the way, I made my blog header a little bit smaller (and added changes), so that it would load a little bit faster. Which do you think is better? :)

Another thing, I'm planning to earn money online once again this coming sembreak! Wee~! I'm so excited! :D

Would anyone ask how are things going with me and that-person-I-like? Well, things are going fine, except that we don't mind each other anymore, or in other words, "wala na kaming pinansinan". We snob each other now, and I don't know why. T_T Well, I don't give it a big deal anyway. And, I've heard that he's planning to court some other girl. Even though it hurts to know that he likes somebody else, and even worse, planning to court her, I'd still wish him good luck in courting that girl, whoever she is .. hahah .. and I'd also hope that he'd get her, for them to be together. So, he courts the girl for him (and her to be) to-get-her, get it? haha .. xD

You know, it's really weird that my classmates and schoolmates wouldn't dare to tease me at all, where in fact they're pretty much good at teasing others .. haha! Maybe it's because they "highly" respect me. -__- I get teased at some times though, but only by my close friends. They tease me about nonsense stuff, and much more.

By the way! I almost forgot to tell you about my results for the CEM (Center for Educational Measurement, Inc.) Diagnostic Test! Well, it's pretty much OK, I got a score of 726/800 (Excellent) in English, 479/800 (Average) in Mathematics, and 580/800 (Above Average) in Science! So, what do you think of my results? Has anybody else among you taken and got the results of this test already? If so, I'd want to know! :) I couldn't take a picture of the results sheet now because both of my digital cameras have low batteries. Maybe, just maybe, I could post the pictures some other time. :D

Well, that's it for now! It's already about 1 AM in the morning, so I really need to sleep now.

Well, it's good that all those headaches, eyes-hurting, frustrations, and the abused time here in front of the computer payed off! I had a great output, right? :) Imagine? I was in front of the computer from 11am to 2am! Now that's, uhm, 20 HOURS! Wow! Now that's, amazing? haha .

10 - 10 - 10 ♥

Hey there everybody! How are you all doing? Long time no post for me, again, because I was so busy with school stuff and all! So, yeah, here I am, and you know what's so special today? The date today is October 10, 2010 (in our country, and many other countries that share the same or nearest timeline with us), when converted to another dateform [?], that would become: 10-10-10! You know, this only happens once in 1000 years! Wow, I feel amazing! I lived through 1/1/1, 2/2/2, 3/3/3, 4/4/4, 5/5/5, 6/6/6, 7/7/7, 8/8/8, 9/9/9, and 10/10/10, dates that come only once in a thousand years! whew~! They say these dates could be lucky, some also say they're not, and others would also say that nothing would happen.

But for me, so far, nothing much had happened to me today except that one of my blogger friends, Ate Aryan, helped me with an advanced algebra assignment I was having a hard time with the whole day yesterday! I was having a hard time with it because the formula isn't in the book, and when I searched the net the exact formula also isn't there, or maybe I just didn't know how to find it. So, yeah, she taught me, then there! I finally was able to answer my assignment! I am so grateful to have a friend like her, who's willing to help! I am so lucky to have her as a friend! :) So, thank you so much sis! :D

Hmm .. another thing also would be that I was able to download a lot of songs to my phone during the dawn, at around 1-2am. I don't know why I stayed that late again. Maybe because I was thinking of a lot of things, not wanting to sleep just yet, or I'm just simply addicted to the internet. Whew~! I was Facebook-ing the whole day (and night, mor-night) at that time! haha!

So, that's it! The few significant things that happened to me today!

Well, let's move to the past few days I wasn't around in the blogging world. I was up to a lot of stuff, and many things also happened to me!

Hmm .. I could name a few!

Like last Friday, it was raining very, very hard in our place, particularly in school, and when I say VERY, I mean, there were thunderstorms approaching us, floods flooded the whole campus and also outside! Floods reached above our knees, and because of this, many vehicles weren't able to get inside the school campus, and that caused students to go home late. Since our father was already waiting for us outside the school campus wherein his vehicle was on a safe place away from the floods, there was no other choice but to walk on the flood to go to our vehicle, so that we wouldn't let him keep waiting. Gosh! It was the first time I walked on the floods, then me soaking wet in the rain, or simply speaking, I "bathed" in the rain, then I walked through its floods. What an experience! :O

Then, waaaayy back last September 30 to October 4, it was our Intramurals and 24th Foundation Day! These days were truly significant for the school, so, as expected, we were very busy with its preparations, we were pressured with the practices we had! But it's good that these preparations, pressures, and practices payed off! Games during the Intramurals went great, then our Foundation Day last October 4, 2010 was a success! And you know, I enjoyed every moment of these significant days, even though I was kind'a tired and irritated at times, but I don't give a care.

I was assigned to different games during the Intrams, namely; badminton, basketball, and chess. Too bad I didn't get to play any of them, because of the following reasons:

Badminton - because I wasn't chosen since they think I'm still new to tournaments and I may not play that well during the game, or I dunno, maybe there are a lot other reasons why they didn't let me play.

Basketball - because I wasn't chosen in the top 7, since the one choosing based her choices on the close friends she has. And the list was made in a hurry, so, yeah.

Chess - because I was out helping my teachers and fellow Science and Math Club members prepare the prizes for the Science and Math Month Culminating Activity. And also because I didn't hear the call of the game.

So, too bad! :'( But I guess that would be okay. There would always be a next time.

And I wasn't able to join the cheerdance competition because I wasn't able to attend the final practice, when they finalized everything.

So, yeah, I pretty much did nothing during those days but to attend, watch, and "enjoy". But still, I enjoyed those moments though. There were a lot of booths. I could name the Love Chain, Marriage Booth, Jail Booth, Pull-to-Luck, Dare Booth, Blind Date, and Sari-Sari Store!

One memorable moment was that I got "love-chained" with a person who is SO NOT a perfect match for me! ahahah! I got so pissed off and annoyed when we got love-chained. That person was the person I like though, but still, I hate it that we got love-chained like that. Good thing there weren't any photos posted with us on it .. LOL! But then again, I don't know why, but I kind'a like the experience a bit, because it was a great experience for a high school student like me .. ahahah

By the way, during the Science and Math Month Culminating Activity, I was awarded for being the Top Scorer in our Science Olympiad, our group also won in the Science Olympiad, then another group of mine won the Science Quiz Bee. For the Math Olympiad, the results were yet to be announced tomorrow, so, I should not be late tomorrow! :)

Too bad I wasn't able to take any pictures of those significant days, well, except for the variety show we had last Foundation Day, but it was taken be my cellphone. Well, I'll just try to upload them some other time! :D That variety show was so entertaining by the way! I enjoyed watching it!

Well, there were pictures by some of my schoolmates, but they aren't online in Facebook right now, so, I couldn't ask permission from them to grab. Again, I'll post pictures some other time! :D

A free verse about:: MUSIC

Here I am,

staying at the corner,

thinking of what to write,

against the sunlight,

about what I like,

particularly my interests,

a topic in my heart is the closest,

and you know what that is?

That would be music,

a melody and rhythm,

that plays around in our ears,

or may go deeper within us,

and which we may relate,

to the messages they may give,

hearing their lyrics,

oh, that would be great!

RNB, pop, rock, oldies, or any other type of music,

they influence our mood,

or even our personality,

these could also relate,

to who we really are,

depending on which type we like.

Rhythms go "boom boom boom",

"lalala ..."

"pak pak pak ..."

oh, what fun that could be,

following these rhythms and all that,

tapping the table with our hands,

stepping to the beat,

dancing to the groove,

oh how enjoyable that would be!

Lyrics go with the flow,

they may be about the joys of love,

its heartbreaks,

or the lyrics could be about,

the occasions held,

like Christmas, New Year, and whatnot,

or it could generally be about EVERYTHING!

This way the listeners could relate to the song.

Some say "Music is our life.",

there could be many reasons for that,

and I guess most of them,

are already mentioned above,

so, yeah, it would be a big part of our lives!

~ Just something to share from one of the activities we did in English, making a free verse about our inspiration. I chose "Music" as my inspiration, so, yeah, I wrote a free verse about it, then decided to share it to you guys! :)
