Love is the emotion of strong affection and personal attachment.[1] In philosophical context, love is a virtue representing all of human kindness, compassion, and affection. In some religious contexts, love is not just a virtue, but the basis for all being, as in the Roman Catholic phrase, "God is love"[2]. Love may also be described as actions towards others (or oneself) based on compassion.[3] Or as actions towards others based on affection.[4]
The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure ("I loved that meal") to intense interpersonal attraction ("I love my partner"). "Love" can also refer specifically to the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love, to the sexual love of eros (cf.Greek words for love), to the emotional closeness of familial love, or to the platonic love that defines friendship,[5] to the profound oneness or devotion ofreligious love. [6] This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.
Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.

On what falling in love is like:"Like an avalanche where you have to run for your life." (Roger, 9)"If falling in love is anything like learning how to spell, I don't want to do it. It takes too long." (Leo, 7)
Concerning the origins of love:"Cupid kissed God and that got the ball rollin'." (Julio, 9)"One of the Greek lady gods got a crush on one of the Greek man gods. He tried to hit her with lightning and thunderbolts, but he just couldn't get her away from him ... After a while, they became the first married gods." (Robbie, 8)
It's funny how various people tend to view "Love" in different ways, especially in "falling in love". Unexperienced as I am in falling in love, honestly, I don't really know the real things I'd feel and encounter when it comes to it. I just know some things about it through reading different quotes I receive from textmates and friends from social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and here at Blogger. But, the common things I usually read (or hear) from them would be, if you're really in love, you don't really know why you're feeling it, and it would somewhat be an undescribable feeling. When you're just getting started with it, it would feel like heaven, but when it ends, with that significant other, it would really feel like hell, as what they have said too.
Aside from quotes, I also know some things about Love through songs! Oh yes, SONGS are my major sources of information or views about love, since most songs now talk about it. Here are some songs I would like to share to you:
Something About Love by David Archuleta (Now you know the origin of this journal's title. :D)
Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis
Catch Me by Demi Lovato
The Man who can't be Moved by The Script
Breakeven by The Script
Those are just some songs I would like to share for now, since there are A LOT of songs in mind that I would want to share but it would make this journal very long. ;)
LOVE is really a controversial feeling, isn't it? There's even a day wherein we'd celebrate it with our loved ones, and that's Valentine's Day!
Since Valentine's Day is fast approaching, let me ask you, do you have your valentine? If you don't, and would only spend the day with your family and friends, then, that would perfectly be okay. Besides, Valentine's day isn't a day for Love, it's of Love. What I mean is, this day isn't only for lovers, but it's for all of us! We should not think that Valentine's day wouldn't mean anything without that boyfriend or girlfriend to spend it with. What matters is that you're with the ones you love, and with the ones who love you. This day, for others, could also mean receiving a lot of chocolates and flowers, but, in my own point of view, any gifts, or that usual kind of celebration we have, would just be fine.
So, have a Happy Valentine's Day! :D I hope you learned a lot from me. ;)
