Hey there everyone! How are you all doing? Me, I'm doing fine. I just realized that now is the real day for Chinese New Year. LOL. And by the way, does China and Philippines have almost the same time zones? If so, then today is indeed Chinese New Year. xD

Anyway, about this year, I found fascinating horoscope for my year, which is The Pig, and for my zodiac sign too, which is Virgo.

Well, to summarize what I've read, I learned that I tend to be lucky this year, and that's a "Yay!" for me! And in case you're wondering, yes, I do believe in these things. LOL. They're just too fascinating to ignore.

As for my birthday astrology, I do believe when they said this:

"They are naturally happy and always look on the bright side. Whether they possess a great deal of wealth or only a nominal amount, they find a way to give something to someone who has less."

Now I know why I'm always drawn to helping others even though I shouldn't. xD Then it is pretty rare for me to think pessimistically on situations.

Aside from being fascinated with horoscopes, I also spent my day studying a bit for my special exam tomorrow since I was excused from the exam last Friday because of the inter school contest I joined, then I also edited some pictures because I was bored. And of course, updating Facebook and listening to music would never be cut off from my daily routine. :p But I doubt that when the signing of clearance comes.

Oh, in case you haven't noticed, it's almost Valentine's Day. I'm not really sure whether we'd have regular classes on that or not. Is this even a holiday? LOL. All I know is that this day would also be the foundation day for our school's main campus, so it is possible that we won't have classes on this day. How about in your school? Is Valentine's Day considered a holiday?

Hmm, how would you spend your Valentine's Day? :p Do you have a valentine? Any plans for the day? LOL. If you ask me, I wouldn't really spend my Valentine's with anyone except my family. I have a close guy friend but we wouldn't be able to meet on this day, but that's okay. We'll be sure to communicate with each other, along with my other friends on Facebook. xD

I don't really care if I'm single or not on Valentine's unlike the others. Besides, why should I care? We don't need a boyfriend/girlfriend to feel good about ourselves. :p #Quoting LuanLegacy. LOL

To those who have their special someones to spend with this Valentine's Day, I would like to remind you that you should not treat that day as the only day (along with your monthsary/anniversary) that you're going to express greatly your love for that someone like giving gifts, chocolates, flowers, etc. For me, I'd prefer to be surprised, like receiving something on an unexpected day. I'm a person who likes surprises by the way. :)

I'm going to spend my Valentine's as an ordinary day by the way because I'm not allowed to date anyone yet. LOL. I'll just enjoy having the freedom of being single, and having the feeling of being taken. ^^,

WOAH. A changed topic from Chinese New Year to Valentine's Day. I'm just this random and I have a wandering mind in me.

I guess you all know its translation, right? It's Chinese New Year everyone, and you know what that means? All over the world it's already 2012. So, how was it for you? Did you celebrate?

If you ask me, we did the usual stuff like going to the mall and supermarket to buy things especially food. xD We also had our family picture today for the yearbook since me and my sister are going to graduate this March.

Speaking of school, I'm kinda paranoid already. Well, I'm kinda glad I still have my attitude of being too worried when it comes to school activities, and at the same time I'm alarmed since too much stress would be bad for me, and I know that I'm going to have a lot of those during the next few weeks til school ends. Wait, there's already more or less 6 weeks to go before school ends, and I'm both excited and scared. Why excited? I'm going to be in college already then start a whole new stage in life. Then scared? New beginning, meaning I'd be starting over again and strive even harder to be one of the most notable students in the new university I'll be in.

Speaking of university, remember when I took the Xavier University College Entrance Examination/Scholarship Exam, or didn't I tell you in my blog post last November? Well, I passed both the entrance exam and scholarship exam, and here's the proof:

It's like ... a dream come true! :D I've always wanted to study at Xavier University, and it turned out that I'll be studying there after all! I owe God a lot! I didn't expect to receive an 86 GSA since I didn't prepare really well for the test because I had little time to prepare. My mother pushed me to take the test 3 days before, since she noticed that I've been neglecting it already, but in reality, I decided to take the entrance test the week after that. Anyway, here it is, I passed! LOL. What an achievement! I'll be a certified Atenean soon! :))

Going back, I guess you already know those activities I'm worried about in school. Oh, the life of an honor student who always seems to need high maintenance of her academics and extracurricular activities! It may seem fun if you know you're winning and doing good, but it will be a great downfall of feelings if you realize that you're failing them. In my case, I'm somewhere in between. But anyway, I'm caring less on whether I'd be Valedictorian or not, and I don't really know why, but then again, I guess it's because I conditioned myself not to expect too much since it will only lead me to disappointment, and viola, it worked.

February and March are fast approaching! I'm becoming scared and paranoid already. I wasn't able to update my blog regularly before these "hell months", how much more now? I would really feel sorry for my blog and my readers. :( I guess I have to sacrifice you again this time.

I hope I'd do better this 4th Grading. I don't know how I did last 3rd Grading though. I'm really paranoid. What if a lot of my grades decreased? Oh well, I guess I should expect a bad result so that I won't be emotional when I see my report card. I hope that works. BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN if a lot of my grades would decrease. I hope God will help me. I should remember to pray to Him always before I go to bed. I need His guidance, and I hope that my high faith towards Him would restore once again.

Familiar lines? :p If you're a Gaga-fanatic, I guess you should know this. xD This is the first line of lyrics of her song, You and I. I don't know why it just popped up in my head when I was thinking what to put as a title for the blog post. But anyway, this really relates to me, my post, and my blog, and it's been a long time since these came around together, and that this also involves you, my beloved readers/friends, and I. Get what I mean? LOL

Anyway again, I miss writing in this humble abode of mine .. well .. I don't know if this could also be called "humble" since I usually brag about stuff here. (haha) So yeah, I really miss everything and everyone here. I've always wanted to go back these past few days but I've been very busy, and that I've nothing in mind to blog, or I didn't have enough energy and inspiration to blog anyway. Then my fingers and my mind were also too tired to express, and I don't know why but, I'm not feeling that enthusiastic anymore in blogging, and it's pretty much unlike me back when I was in my early months in the blogging world. I wish I could get back my enthusiastic and inspired self once again.

So, shall we proceed? You may be asking what I've been up to these past few days. I was not in the blogging world for 20 days, and that's a lot of days for me. I'll just tell you the highlights. :)

Taking a picture with the iPad (and I'm not bragging, but if you think I am, I'm really not. LOL)

I know, the protective case isn't such a perfect fit, but it serves its purpose ;)

Again, I'm not bragging about it. It isn't mine anyway. LOL. It's my father's iPad, and he just lent it to me and my sister for use.

About my phone (refer to my previous post), it's working fine already! :D Thank God I didn't pursue asking my parents to buy me a new one. I found out the cause of the phone malfunction, and it's when I use wallpapers and screen savers that the system does not provide, in other words, those that come from my own files in my memory card. I don't know why this happens though. I am sure my memory card does not have a virus, but I know that it has almost too many files. xD But then again, I can't help but add more files, music files to be specific, since my music in the phone needs to be updated. LOL. I'm trying my best to lessen music downloading anyway, and in fact, I don't download new music anymore .. just pictures. Haha.

During the first few days of classes, I gotta admit, I wasn't that ready and focused on school yet because I sorta got a "hangover" from the Christmas vacation we had. I mean, those memories of our experiences during the flood were still in my mind that time, and it's been 2 weeks since I faced my books and processed information. But good thing I was still able to cope up. xD

Another thing that's interesting that I knew these past few days was that I discovered for sure that me and the other candidate(s) for valedictorian were having the same thought: to beat each other up (mentally. LOL) and make sure "only I should win!", or "I hope she doesn't cope up with the lessons, or catch up with me". Thanks to my guy friend, I knew about that. And besides, it's pretty obvious already that this was what was going on between us. But I could honestly say that I am only thinking of "fair competition" on this, but then again, they kept hoping and trying to pull me down, and even convince me to focus on things other than my studies. -___- I really hate this.

I know it isn't pretty obvious but, I do hate it when people convince me to do something I don't want and I'm not ready with, like getting me involved in relationships. I am firm in my decision to set aside that relationship thing till I finish college, but most of my classmates say "now is the right time", or "are you together already?", "when would you be together?", "what are you both now?". I have this guy friend whom I'm close with, and others thought that we're already a couple, but that's not true! I know we have mutual feelings for each other, but since I know that I am not allowed to have a boyfriend at this time, I told him to wait for some time to court me. xD For now we're just friends, and I emphasize that to you and to everybody. And besides, it's my way of testing him whether his feelings for me would retain for a long time or not.

We also had our exams this week. The tests were fine though, not too hard, not too easy. I gotta admit, exams every grading period get even more challenging, and I'm worrying what 4th Prelim might bring. I hope God will help me this time.

Another thing, for the first time in my school life, I, along with my other team mates in the Metrobank MTAP Math Challenge, won!! We placed 4th to be specific. I am also very proud of the other contestants in our school because all of them won as well! :) All those times when we were excused from classes were worth it! I'm glad I was lucky that time, and guided by God. I thank the Almighty God for this! I owe Him a lot! :D

That was a pretty good start of 2012. ^^, First inter-school contest I joined, we won instantly. xD

And oh, JS Prom is fast approaching! But before that, many activities are yet to come for me, like the BSP/GSP Camping, Investigatory Project Final Defense, Capitol Courier article-gathering, and those prom practices and preparations. I don't like the venue we're after by the way. It's pretty far from where we live, and where most of my schoolmates live as well. Thank God it isn't final yet, and I hope it won't be.

Twenty Twelve

Hello there everyone! It's been a year since I last blogged. LOL. Get it? hahah. Well, how was your first day of 2012? Mine went OK, not good but OK, but still, this wouldn't upset me yet since it's just the start and it might change in time.

It was like this last year though, it started bad, but became better and better till the end. I hope 2012 would be my year as well, and wouldn't be like the "end of the world" for me. To be honest, the first day of 2012 had upset me already, and got me worrying what the rest of the year might bring me.

Anyway, I wasn't done with talking about last year though. Despite all those happy and challenging moments, behind those were a lot of worries, particularly by the almost-ending part of it. Oh well, to make things clear, these worries are on school assignments. xD Here they are:

Filipino speech
And the assignment that gave me the most stress and worries: INVESTIGATORY PROJECT!!

Even though my teacher already told me ways on how to finish our IP by the deadline this week, and even gave us time to work on it, I was still worrying because I'm not sure whether our IP would be successfully done or not. It's the procedure I'm quite worried about. :( I don't want our group to get scolded by the judges, and if that happens, it's going to be really scary.

Until now these are my worries, that's why I'm not feeling good about going back to school this time because of those.

Here are my resolutions by the way:

Lose weight - This has been one of my new year's resolutions every year. LOL. I do fulfill this, but then again I end up getting fat in some parts of the year.
Study harder - Like losing weight, this has been on my new year's resolution list every year, and yes, I am able to fulfill this last year, and I'd want to fulfill it again this year. ;)
Focus on studies alone - Yep, that's right. I'm not going to let "love" get in the way. I won't let a boy distract me in my studies ever again. Even being close with anyone, I'll be avoiding that. All that's on my mind is going to be focusing on my studies alone, and I'm strict with that already. I have a fixed aim, which is to be successful, and I hope to reach that.
Spend money wisely - I've started trying to fulfill this resolution already, by refusing myself to request my parents to buy a new cellphone just yet since my current cellphone's track-pad doesn't work well anymore and I have to restart the cellphone for it to work once again. The track-pad is a very important part of my cellphone, since without it I could not scroll on the menus.

Well, I guess that's it for now. Have a great year ahead :)

A Year Ending Post:: Goodbye 2011

Hey there everyone! :D How are you all doing? More importantly, how did you prepare for the end of the year? If you ask me, I didn't really prepare that much. All we did was go grocery shopping for food and go to fastfood restaurants to buy fastfood and to the department store to buy gifts for ourselves. xD It was tiring though (who wouldn't get tired shopping for so many days? One reason why I wasn't around in the blogging world because I need time to relax after shopping.), but I didn't hold a grudge on it. After all, we bought a lot of FOOOD!! LOL. That's how I love food. How about you? I'm sure you do too. ^^,

Anyway, since this is a year-ending post, I'm going to talk about the year 2011. Well, it's better compared to last year. HAHA. There was even more "adventure" this time for me, mentally, emotionally, academically, spiritually, physically, and whatnot. I felt a lot of excitement this year, from the JS Prom to the end of the year (hahah). I learned a lot of things (who wouldn't for a year? LOL), just like every year of my life. I also became even more aware with myself, unlike when I was 3rd Year that everything seems to be a blur (wanting to change from this to that but ended up regretting it when I did .. deciding to go back to the old self but thinking twice about it .. what else?), and yeah, my mind seems to be a more reliable source now, and the same goes for my heart. xD

Moving on, I'll be reminiscing the whole 2011 here and summarize it according to how I remembered everything.

So, here it goes ..

January 2011 - The usual things went on: I made new year's resolutions (I'll check if I did break them or not. LOL), became busy with school, and oh, something's different here. We had Saturday classes for the CEM diagnostic test, and parents and guardians seem to be okay with it this time, then since I was 3rd Year already that time, a Junior HS student, we made big preparations for the prom through practicing every chance we get (hahah .. I'm exaggerating), but yeah, we did have a lot of practice sessions, and gown-finding sessions too. We had a wonderful theme for the prom by the way, and it's "A Royal Night in Paris". I'll talk about prom when we get to February. For now, I guess that's all I remember: Saturday classes because of the CEM reviews, and oh! I forgot to tell you, we also had mall sessions with my friends after one Saturday class, and it was really fun! Well, moving on, I also remember the prom practices and preparations, and yeah, there's also camping, which was the same, we had survival activities and worship sessions which made us reflect on ourselves, and my patrol mates were great to be with.

February 2011 - One of my best months in 2011! And you know what's the reason? It's the JS Prom! LOL. Valentine's Day is never a highlight of my February, in fact, it was just another day. hahah! About the prom, all our preparations paid off, my phobia for boys was gone (LOL, yeah, seriously, I never wanted to touch boys, ever! But then they turned out approachable to dance. o_O), I saw a lot of beautiful and handsome people with their sparkling gowns and formal tuxedos, we were all queens and kings for one night, then I was hailed as the Lady of the Night, out of all the other girls, which is quite an honor. Aside from the prom, February was also the start of the "real thing" in school, which was being even busier than ever before and no one in school ever seems to get laid back anymore (am I exaggerating? Or is this also what you think? hahah). Getting very busy for me would of course be a pain in the neck, but I know, and it turned out to be, worth it. And did I mention it was clearance time that I meant we're going to be very busy with? I'm mentioning it now, and I bet some other students could relate to this too, right? We'll be compiling requirements, waiting for the right time the teachers could sign, and whatnot. We'd always feel the adrenaline rush for this, and I think you know what I mean. xD

March 2011 - Highlights would be the end of the signing of clearance, final exams, SBO campaign and elections (I won as the Student Body Secretary!), worrying about my honor rank, finally knowing the honor rank (which was First Honor), marching on Recognition Day (getting my Gold medal and scholarship certificates), eating a lot of food as a reward for being an honor student (LOL), and summer officially started! There was a little heartbreak inside me when I didn't reach what I really wanted to aim for, to be the highest first honor, but I recovered from that and knew that I should work and study even harder this time. :) And oh, we also had our outing, but I wasn't able to attend because of "safety" reasons. (-__-)

April 2011 - I did a lot of things out of boredom like enhancing my creativity through taking pictures, editing pictures, then I also tried vector art (refer to my April 2011 posts for more details on these). It was a fun start of summer though, and it's a month full of creativity. :D And oh, I also joined giveaways to push my luck. ;)

May 2011 - Like the previous month of my summer 2011, this month was also full of creativity since I continued designing and all, and I even designed something for my mother last Mother's Day, and took pictures on my sister's and brother's birthday, then, here's something different: I worried about which university to attend and also the rumored Judgement Day which turned out not to be true at all (LOL. Thank God!). I also felt the excitement of finally being able to enroll once again. On Facebook, I became close with my nerdy classmate whom I've met when I was 2nd year (and he's new that time). It was ONLY on Facebook chat that we're close. :p It was funny though, everytime we catch each other online on chat, I chat with him, well, he starts the chat most of the time, and I found it weird since I smelled something fishy about it, but I shrugged it off. LOL. (I get the feeling that he likes me, or was it the other way around? o_O But wth) He, along with my uncle who's younger than me (hahah), were the ones I talk about my summer with most of the time. xD

June 2011 - The first month of school. The month I've been waiting for. Yes, it's June! I once again felt the thrill of knowing which class section I'll belong too, and you know, I've heard a lot of rumors about it before I knew for sure on all these. Turned out that those rumors were true, and I felt happy. I belonged to the honor's sect, and finally, I was relieved of worrying about myself to be the only one to be asked questions at about the lessons (LOL). The rest of the month was spent getting oriented once again with the school and ourselves as well.

July 2011 - Simply the 2nd month of school (LOLjk), Nutrition month, my brother's birth month, the month of the CEM Diagnostic Pre-test, Father's Day, Investigatory Project, and the month I lost my phone, but I got a new one though, which was the one I'm using right now. I know it was hard getting over my old phone, but my new phone served me right. :) Well, I became close with that nerdy classmate of mine since he chose to sit behind me and I seem to be the only one he wanted to talk to. This was also the time I'm beginning to get that feeling again. xD It's like I felt something for him, but I just shrugged it off once again. Come on, it's 4th year, I don't want to get involved with that thing called "Love" once again.

August 2011 - The first month of joining an interschool contest (and I joined 2 interschool quiz bees this month), Buwan ng Wika, and many more I don't really remember. The first quiz bee was the one sponsored by the ROTARACT, and the 2nd one was sponsored by the APPSCO, wherein which that nerdy classmate (which I now consider as a friend) was also a contestant along with me and the others. The APPSCO Quiz bee, Math specifically, was the best quiz bee experience I ever had, since I won 2nd Place in our district (although not credited). I'm glad God gave me the chance to get closer to winning. :) Oh, there was also the COSAA Chess Tournament wherein which I won nothing. LOL. I don't wanna talk about it anymore. hahaha

September 2011 - My birth month, and at the same time the Science and Math month which was one of the busiest months of my 4th year life because of the preparations of activities since I was President of Math Club. The preparations paid off though, but I felt bad about not joining the mass because of those. :(

But anyway, another highlight of September would be the interschool Leadership Training Seminar which was held last September 9 to 11, and it seemed like my pre-birthday celebration already since we ate a lot of fast food then we had a lot of fun and "adventure". It was almost like an ideal birthday celebration for me. xD On my birthday, last September 12, I spent it in school, but no one really remembered my birthday except my bestfriend and many others I'm close with. I didn't want it to go public anyway since I don't have money to treat others that time (HAHA .. lying?), but then as the hours passed, the "birthday secret" went viral. LOL. Almost everyone ended up greeting me. hahah. Then the expected happened, they asked for treats, but I forgot whether I gave some or not. (o.O) I found keeping my birthday as a secret funny though, since my 2 best guy buddies fell for it. HAHA .. I meant, they completely forgot about it until the end of the day. My uncle-who's-younger-than-me had a funny reaction when he knew he really did completely forget my birthday. He apologized to me many times. LOL. And for the other one? My nerdy guy friend? His close friends greeted me for him, but he really didn't know for sure that it is my birthday. I remember seeing "Happy Birthday Vanesa - Love (the name of that friend)" with hearts surrounding the note written by his friends, which I found rather touching. LOL. But I never believed just yet that he liked me. :p

It was then I knew he liked me when a friend of mine told me he had a crush on me, and that was during Science Camp. Then all those flashbacks ran through my head, those hints that he liked me, and whatnot. xD It kinda crept me out though, honestly. I found it hard to believe it. LOL, and I really didn't believe it. hahaha

I received a great birthday gift this month too: a new digital camera! I kept telling you I'd post a picture of it but it's a total fail. I never did. But I did post pictures I took with the camera though. LOL

October 2011 - Intramurals, the ultimate highlight of the month. Me and that guy friend I was telling you about since the July 2011 part became even close, and he even gave me something, and it was a rosary. :) It helped me though, I won my chess tournaments because of God's guidance in it. We even drew together on a notebook. hahaha .. (details on my October posts). But don't get me wrong. We're purely just friends, nothing more, nothing less, or at least that's what I only knew. :p We began to talk about our secrets, problems, we gave each other pieces of advice, and many more. Indeed, we became really good friends.

November 2011 - Sembreak, All Saints' Day, Xavier University Entrance Exam, the month me and my guy friend became more than friends (LOLwhut? hahahah .. sshhh), confessed each other's feelings (LOL.. sshh), and the rest I don't really remember. hahah. Well, the last weeks were spent reviewing for a quiz bee though. :)

December 2011 - STEAG Energy Quiz Bee, Christmas Party, unexpected event, Christmas Day, the shopping sessions, and many more, all explained in my previous post. :D

And I also got an iPad! I'll post a picture of it next year, I promise. :)

Hey there everyone! :D It's been soooooooo long since I last blogged around here! And it's been more than a month, right? I'm so sorry I kept you waiting. It's just that there were a lot of things going on when I was away, and that it was hard to gather every detail of it to blog it here, or is it just because of my laziness and lack of inspiration that I wasn't able to blog? Whatever the real reason may be, all that matters is that I'm finally back (from the dead? JK), and without further adieu, I would like to greet everyone of you a Merry Christmas and advance Happy New Year! :)

Well, I would like to tell about the highlights when I was away from the blogging world.

December 1, 2011 - STEAG Energy Quiz Bee

1 week before this event, we prepared for this through reviews. I, along with other participants, were often excused from classes just for the reviews, which honestly made me happy yet also worried because at the same time we'd also miss a lot of activities, then only God knows whether teachers would also excuse us from doing those or not. We also prepared for the exams that time, and I guess it would be confusing to focus on both the quiz bee and exams at the same time, right? So, yeah, when that date came, we did our best in answering the questions since the prizes are worth winning, but unfortunately, we didn't win. But that's okay, every one of the contestants were rewarded with McDonald's burger and fries. LOL. I gotta admit, I wasn't very happy with the results, but food eased my mood. But, then again, by the time I woke up the next morning, it's pretty weird that I kept thinking about my experience during the quiz bee and regretted everything I did not do (only I know what I'm talking about here I guess), maybe this happened because all those McDo I ate was digested already. hahahah. xD

The rest of the days were spent reviewing once again for the summative tests this time. December 15 was the summative test and 16 was the Christmas Party! :)

Days before those dates (December 15 and 16), I really did feel the Christmas spirit, but I don't really know now why it all vanished. I guess it was because of what happened at the night of December 16. I'll tell you more about it:

December 16 - Christmas Party, and an unexpected happening

It was a gloomy, rainy, stormy day, yet the parties in school went on. xD Raindrops fell endlessly, and the weather kinda influenced my mood a bit. You know how much I hate the rain if it falls on the wrong day, well, if you didn't know, now you know (LOL). So, going back, parties went on despite the weather. In the evening of this day, we had our Christmas party for the high school department. It was hard going around the campus without getting wet though, since the rain fell harder that time already. Anyway, to give you a recap on the Christmas party, the theme we chose was Retro, which showcases different music genres from the 50s to 90s. Everyone had great outfits though, including me (LOLjk). Going back to the topic I started with, our Christmas Party was known now as the "Wet Party". Most students had fun though, but for me? I worried about getting sick. The rain fell harder, that even the covered court in our school wouldn't be a safe place to stay in to keep dry. Well, despite all these, I also had a bit of fun. There were parlor games, presentations, singing, dancing, rapping, contests, FOOD, and many more. Then during the exchange gift, I actually exchanged gifts with my great guy friend, which was pretty weird why of all the names in the container to be picked, we picked each other. xD Anyway, we both loved the gifts we gave and received each other, which made us happy. Then to end the party, we had picture taking with the whole class.

So, the unexpected happening would be that when we got home, the storm was getting worse, then there was brownout. So I went to sleep instead since there was not much cellphone signal as well too. Brownout went on until around 1:30am, then got off after a few seconds. And at the same time, outside we saw flood all over our place. So many belongings were lost because of the flood. It was a really strong storm after all, and you know, this was my first time witnessing something like this in my whole years of existence. Mud was all over the next morning, and brownout went on until December 21, which would mean we had no electricity from the dawn of December 17 until 7pm of December 21, so that's 4 days of no electricity. In other places, there was little or no water. I feel proud of myself and my family, and also everyone in my neighborhood that we survived this kind of calamity. The good news also was that no one died and got missing in our neighborhood, then every family here was still kept intact. The typhoon's name is Sendong by the way, and woah, it's so strong. Well, our neighborhood just got lucky that everyone was kept intact, since in other places, so many people got missing and died. I feel pity for them, and I really wanted to donate to those who were victims of the typhoon. The cities badly affected by the typhoon were Cagayan de Oro City (where I live) and Iligan. I hope you could help the victims here, everyone of us would surely appreciate it.

You know, the 4 days of no electricity kinda ruined my "happy" Christmas vacation though, along with so many other projects that until now I'm worrying about them, especially the Investigatory Project. I gotta admit, I regretted choosing and proposing the IP I have now, and I desperately want to change it. :'( It's almost impossible doing all those sterilization and agar preparation, and I also desperately need help from my teachers now. I'm also becoming nervous for the upcoming Final Defense for this Investigatory Project, since I fear us getting scolded by the judges because of our poor progress and way of answering their questions. Please, Lord, I don't want that to happen.

Then there's this song-remixing that I kinda found hard to gather ideas on since my ideas were too overflowed in my head. Can you help me, guys? I'd appreciate that.

You Can't Explain a Love like Ours

Hey there everyone! How are you all doing?

While I was done writing the last part of my previous post, I instantly had some inspiration to write another post, but, as fast as it came, that's how it also vanished. I clicked "New Post", and *poof!*, I forgot everything I was supposed to say, or I was too distracted with the other tabs or other things to do. And also, blame the bad, gloomy weather for it.

But then, I found this article in Yahoo about a couple who have been married for 72 years and they died together holding hands. :"> Isn't it touching? It's entitled "72 years together: The couple who died holding hands", and you might want to read about it. Then this inspired me to blog about it, about everlasting love, wondering, "Does this still exist?", and that this could indeed become an inspiration to everyone especially those who are hopeful in love, or optimistic about it. Then I would also talk about what I thought about love. :)

That story is indeed like a real life fairytale, or just like what romantic books talk about. I once believed in all of those when I was a kid, like I would be recalling those stories through the dolls I play and imitate those love scenes they have through those toys, but then I was told of the reality of "love", like it wouldn't really always end as a "happily ever after", and that when you'll engage in a relationship, there's always a big possibility that you'll break up, even though you thought for sure that you wouldn't, because you were so blinded from the start.

I don't know why our society now is like this. Relationships don't last that long anymore, and maybe that's the reason why couples celebrate monthsaries instead because they don't think they would last a year, am I right? It isn't like the old times when couples fall in love with each other, they know for sure that they're the ones for each other already, turned out to be true after all, then they marry and celebrate decades of anniversaries, and never did I hear about divorces back then. Sure, I may not be alive that time, but I know those things because I do read a lot about the history sometimes. :P

Anyway, these things also explained why I lost hope in love a lot of times, since I've opened my eyes to all the bad possibilities of it. LOL. As the matter of fact, I don't hear much about wonderful things about it though. The only few good things I hear about it would be when you both share the same feelings for each other (then that never happened to me back then), and you will find inspiration from the love you have (yeah, I experienced this one time), then just one look at that person (or one "Hello" from him/her) would make your day.

But you know, after reading that article, I thought that anything's possible with love, just as long as you believe in it, like what I'm trying to do know. xD I do hope I could find true love myself though. To tell you, I'm having this situation right now wherein a guy likes me (then I like him too) and that he seemed so sincere with his feelings for me. I, being always hesitant when it comes to believing things like these, don't really believe in it just yet, or I don't know, I want him to look me in the eyes and say it sincerely. >:P nyahaha. While he's doing so, I don't know what my feelings would do to me. (^o^)

Naah, forget that part, the main topic of this post would be that LOVE would indeed work wonders if you do some effort with it and that if you believe that long lasting togetherness would happen. Oh, look who's talkin', I don't even have a love life. Why am I even giving this advice. HAHA

I would surely love to hear love stories like this again, and I hope our story with my soon-to-be special someone, whoever he may be (LOL, that's creepy), would be one of those. :))

Talkin' about Missing You and Love

Hello there everyone! How are you all doing? Me, I'm doing fine. To those who have been visiting my blog since the last few months, this is a familiar intro, right? Yes, I miss writing that kind of introduction to my beloved readers, and I also miss those readers that I usually say those things too. But, knowing that they may not remember me anymore, .. or I don't know, maybe they still do remember me, all I wanted to tell them is that I really miss them, and I don't know why, but I get shy when I push myself to tell them that on their tagboard, since, as what I've stated, they may not remember me anymore because it's been so long since I've updated this blog or became updated with their blog as well.

I miss those times when I used to drop by and comment on their blog, or others' blogs for that matter, then they, in return, would also comment back on mine, and I, and also them, would reach as much as 15 to 50 comments on their posts. I also miss the times when we all express concern or happiness with each other, like we all could relate. I remember when I used to think as well as I could for what "comment" I should give to a certain post of a certain blogger, so that at least I, or they, could think that I don't take commenting for granted. I also remember when I used to drop by lots of blogs so that I could find inspiration in what I should write, because knowing that this "Blogosphere" is a place where everyone shares things that inspire others, I use those in a way that it could benefit me too.

I also learned that people always have their say on whatever things I post, whether they're good or bad, and I (or they should, too) respect that. We are all different in every way, so might as well understand them, although it's kinda hard at times (even in real life, it is).

So, enough said. I miss everything and everyone here in the blogging world that I left for over a month. I also miss visiting other blogs too, which I failed to do for, well, almost 4 months, since I've been very busy and focused in school because I'm already a senior high school student and it's expected that I could be that occupied, right?

Besides blogging, since I've been on a semestral break from school for 10 days (tomorrow's the 10th day), I began missing it too. I remember when I always panic studying at the last minute during quizzes, or keeping my eyes on the books in studying for the exam, or having my work copied by my seatmates without me knowing (but this isn't the case now since our seating arrangement is already "one seat apart"), or asking, well, most of the time being asked for help by my classmates during seatworks. I also remember when I'd get into a bad mood when I don't get the highest score in one of our tests, or when my classmates were asking too much help from me that would cause me to delay my work that got me thinking that it's pretty hard to be one of the smartest students in class, but that didn't change my wish to top my whole batch, or at least, be one of the top honor students, because I know that my wisdom and knowledge, or "smarts" when we talk about school, are my precious gifts from God and that I should be glad that I have them, knowing that a lot of people don't have that, and I'm very fortunate to have been blessed with it.

School really does have a lot of thrills that I miss, just like catching up a glance with someone I admire, or getting close to him (FACT: his seat is at the back of mine this time) and have hours of talk time (LOL, talk time? HAHA .. I remember cellphone specifications for this), and when it comes to teachers, I miss the jokes they crack, or how they make learning interesting and thrilling as well.

Besides the experiences and people in school, I also miss the clean and green surroundings that our school has, and we never fail to smell fresh air. I also found my favorite place in school too, which is the outside of our classroom wherein it's located at the highest floor of our building, because we never fail to catch the breeze there. Another favorite hangout in our school would be the benches, since it's windy there at times too then we could sit with anyone there. LOL. I pretty much like everything that's in school, except ~~the bad odor our CR usually gets and the vandals that could be found there~~, but that's normal in every school, right? So, yeah, minus the ones that have been on ~~strikethrough~~, our school is a beautiful place to be in, just like in our home.

Well, I guess that would be it for the topic, "Missing You". Next stop: LOVE.

- I love the way they dance and dress up, and they look so cute! hahah! :)) .. and pretty too!

I may love K-POP, but honestly, I have no idea what the group members' names are. LOL. I just love how they dance, sing, and how they make their music videos because they're flashy and colorful, since that's what I also love about art. ;)

Another kind of love that I'll be talking about would be the ones everyone, especially the teens, talk about these days, and you, of course, know about that. I thought the word "love" has been overused and overrated already by teenagers nowadays, and I still think about it that way about it now too, although it kinda makes even more sense to me already now that I'm more mature, and not to mention, I can relate to it already (ssshh. LOL). But I know time will come that these would all make sense to me already and that I won't think that it's overused and overrated already. For now, I think that these things about love are still what teenagers perceive, and not its real meaning yet. Also, for now, I'll have to focus on familial love because it's the true love that I know right now, along with the love of God. :))

I don't know why, but I lost interest in talking about my so-called feelings for someone, since I've been planning to include that here because I should give that a try once more and not mind bad things that others might think of it. Oh well.

Off topic. Tomorrow is Eid'l Adha', a regular holiday. That would mean that there would be no classes! \m/ It's going to be another long weekend, and I'm happy with it, although there's this part of me that got disappointed since I still have to wait another 24 hours to see everything and everyone in school again, but I'm still happy because I could still prepare some more for the upcoming resume of classes, and that I'd refresh myself for it.

Science and Faith by The Script - My favorite lines for this song would be, "You won't find faith or hope down a telescope, you won't find heart and soul in the stars, you can break everything down to chemicals, but you can't explain a love like ours ..~", and yes, that's the chorus. I liked all the lyrics of the songs actually, because it involves familiar things I've learned in Science, which is of course fascinating to me .. well .. sometimes. xD
Wish You Were Here by Avril Lavigne - I could really relate to this song, since I miss everything and everyone in school already, and finally I get to see them on Tuesday. So, yeah, I'm excited. ;)

Bothered

I don't know why, but I enjoy writing multiple posts in a day now. HAHA. I just can't help it. I really do have a lot of thoughts to share that's wanting to come out, and I guess they're nothing serious really. Serious ones and those that are private are stored here, and they're not worth sharing anyway, so, yeah.

Who am I kidding? Maybe this could be serious after all.

So, here it goes ...

I'm bothered because I'm not really sure how and what thoughts I should express already, knowing that everyone who knows this blog or accidentally finds it would read all about it, and maybe criticize it, like, they'd tell me that "these things are not meant to be shared .." or, "oh look, how could she even dare to show all these?", then, "please delete this and that, what if (name of person) sees it". Being a girl who thought that we could literally share anything on a blog in the first place, referring to some other blogs that state on their blog that, "this is my blog and I have the right to post anything" or "I blog to express, not to impress", I did have an idea on what indeed I should write, which, as how I understood, "anything" that goes in my mind. So I expressed just that, and you know what? It didn't really go too well at some points. Although I gotta admit that it, most of the time, gave me some good experiences too.

Why didn't it go too well? I gained an enemy because of one post, and it took almost 4 months for us to get back to being friends again. Then, another one would be, I wrote something bad about someone, then I was saved from trouble when my parents told me to delete that part. I was frustrated at first but then realized that they were right for telling me to do so. I also wrote something about my feelings of liking for a certain someone, then I was also told to delete that. I was pretty sure that I didn't go far in expressing that though. The last one explained why this blog does not contain cheesy posts anymore.

That last situation (or whatever you call it. I ran out of right words to think of and say), about it being the reason why this blog doesn't contain any things about my love life (LOL, I don't even have a love life, honestly), my liking for someone, and many more that's really cheesy to express, did get me wondering,

"How could they prohibit me from telling about one of the greatest highlights of being a teenager, which is falling in love (or developing feelings for someone of the opposite sex would be more appropriate when we talk about me)? Why couldn't they just understand that it's perfectly normal for teens to feel that way and that they shouldn't be mad at them for undergoing such? Why couldn't they trust me on this, where in fact I already proved to them that I was still able to concentrate on my studies while I was secretly admiring someone, and another fact, I even reached a higher rank in the honors' list, because of the inspiration I've got, although I'm not so sure if I really did get it from that."

I demand an explanation for this. For those who are already thinking that I sound stupid already, then go ahead and judge me some more. I'm just here to express my thoughts and opinions about expressing freely when blogging, and if you must have a valid reason that some parts of this post should be deleted, then tell me. I respect others' opinions too, if I also find them reasonable and valid.

And you know, this was the same case too for Facebook, and that also explains why I don't post cheesy stuff there anymore, and if I must, I just post a song that could explain what I'm feeling (although that's not always the case that a song could be one that I can relate it, unless stated).

Well, I know that those people who told me to delete my cheesy posts (both on Blogger and Facebook) have their reasons for their actions and decisions too, so maybe I should just try to understand them and discover what they might have thought about my actions as well.

For those things that have happened when I expressed stuff other than the one about love, I understand fully why they're bad, then about expressing freely, I guess I just didn't fully understand what they meant in the first place, so here I am now, edging to think very carefully what I should write (or type :P). But this did limit me to express freely, and isn't that what blogging is all about?

I'm coming to the enlightenment that this blog does show a lot about who or what the author is like, and that the author has the responsibility to preserve his/her good name and respected identity, and maybe that's kind of the reason why posting stuff about love could be a bit of a bad thing if done too much since others wouldn't respect the author anymore just as much because they might think that he/she is full of ~~crappy~~ thoughts about love and is too full of it to think of other things, isn't that right? But, just like I said, I don't usually go too far in expressing those here in my blog, but then again, on Facebook, I gotta admit, I posted too much about love, and I ended up harmlessly teased by my friends. Since I saw it as a joke, it didn't really hurt me, but then I realized that I didn't want to be teased like that anymore, so I've sworn to myself that I won't post about love anymore ... just love songs. LOL. Well, I still post things about love, but recently, I'm edging to find inspirational things to post instead of that, which would be kind of better.

Going back to being confused about what thoughts I should express already, I'm thinking of posting pretty much about my daily activities, but would you get interested in it anyway? And also, I can't go on posting music and art all the time, or can I? I guess I should post things that define me more about who I am, then this would gain back my blog's personal purpose, right? But this seems hard now since mostly all I think about now, when I'm currently not in school, is all about what comes around and goes around in this thing called love. But don't get me wrong, I don't think all about it all the time, or do I?

So, yeah, I don't know for sure what I should express instead here anymore just yet. But I will someday figure that out.

In spite of all of these things, I learned to be more and more responsible in blogging. With the fact that I've been blogging for 3 years already, since June 11, 2009, I know that I've grown more and more mature, especially mentally and emotionally when we talk about myself online. I also learned to handle my feelings better, and to express my thoughts clearer, then I also understood myself even better too. Thanks to the right to freedom of expression, and also to the people who have helped me develop from within, I have become the person I am now, and am able to write posts this way now too.

I'm sorry that this post is kinda unruly, unorganized, and all, but since I'm already feeling sleepy while writing this, I hope you understand. I also hope you got the point of this post. (Who am I kidding? Would anyone really get the point?)

So, to explain the point instead, for you to understand it (or understand it better if you already understood), I'll just summarize all these things:

I understood the right to freedom of expression in a different way in the first place when it came to blogging, that was way back when I was new here.
Since I understand it well now, due to learning it the hard way, this got me bothered because it got me more cautious on what to write, even about one of the things that interest me which is love.
I questioned this because isn't it that we should be able to express freely on a blog? and besides, I DID NOT go too far in expressing my love feelings in the first place here in my blog .. at least, as far as I've remembered.
While writing this post, I came to the enlightenment that those people who ask me to delete some parts of the blog or tell me what I should or shouldn't express here have their reasons of their actions and decisions too, and who knows? They may also be right, right?
Deciding on what kind of thoughts to express seemed hard already, but I'll figure that out soon, due to the enlightenment that I had.
After all, these experiences, and the people I was referring to which I did not clearly state, or state at all, helped me become a better person and the person I am now, and also the posts I write now too.
But still, to tell you the truth, I'm still bothered with all these. So I'd appreciate it if you could say something about these too. :))

Day 8: Three Films

Since it would be boring if I just list those three films, I'll just tell you more a bit about each of them.

Crazy Little Thing About Love - It is a romantic comedy Thai movie about an ugly girl who fell in love with a very handsome guy and because she became inspired to do better so that he would notice her, she succeeded in doing so (she became prettier, did better in academics, etc.) then it turned out that the guy liked her too. Well, I bet most of you watched the movie already and have their own opinions of it too, but mine would be that I find this movie inspiring and that it's really meant for teens since they could relate to it.
Rush Hour 3 - I guess all of you have heard about this movie. It's an action comedy movie starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, and maybe you already know the rest. This is just one of the movies that I've watched over and over again, and never get tired of it.
Meet Dave - It's a comedy movie about an alien spaceship who appears as a human form who landed as a massive fireball on Earth. While trying to save their planet, the aliens inside the spaceship encountered a new problem, as their ship becomes smitten with an Earth woman. This was a pretty funny movie. hahah! It's really worth the watch, that is, in my opinion. xD

... around the Internet like you don't know where you'll land. That was my case the whole day .. well .. during the times I was surfing the net. And you know what? I found a lot of interesting blogs and music, software, applications, and websites too!

Let me share to you what I've found:

http://thediaryofayoungman.tumblr.com/ - A Tumblr blog where I've found a lot of "Date a Guy who ..", "Date a Girl who ..", or "Date your ..", which really would've tickled my interest, since I would learn more about what others want from a certain guy or girl, or whom you should choose if you don't have a clue (even though you would always have a clue since we usually know what we want. LOL). So, yeah, this was pretty interesting, but how did I find this blog? I was blog hopping all day long then I've found a certain blog which credits her posts from this blog, so, that's it. :) I don't know if he'll ever find my blog though. HAHA. But I don't care, just as long as I've written opinions about his blog and all.

http://justbmee.blogspot.com/ - Qiyi's blog. :)) I heard a lot of beautiful music here, and I'm starting to love Demi Lovato too. hahah. So, yeah, I've been listening to her playlist the whole day. LOL. I seemed obsessed already, but that's reality. :P

Then, a friend of mine told me about a movie he wanted to download and watch so bad, and that was the reason he wanted me online on Facebook chat a while ago in the afternoon. He asked if I have a torrent downloader, then I said I didn't have it here, and that I'll research some more about it before I'll try it. So, this made me glad, since I gained more knowledge about techie stuff (HAHA .. I heard about torrents long ago but it's just now that I've researched some more about it.). That was great, I used the Internet productively for a short while. xD

Speaking of him wanting me to go online on Facebook last afternoon, I thought that it was about the movie teaser/trailer we're going to make that we've brainstormed this morning. What's this "making of movie teaser/trailer" about? We're planning to make this for fun, and we're currently deciding on the titles and the plot. We're going to make this for Christmas by the way, and we wanted a unique plot for it. Any suggestions? :D I do have my own ideas but I'm still not sure with those even though my friend assures that they're great, but nevertheless, I won't post it here yet anyway since I want it as a surprise to everyone. :))

While writing this blog post, I'm currently waiting for these two movies -- Another Earth and Johnny English Reborn, to buffer for me to watch. ^^, I'd love to watch these movies, but too bad it would really take hours to load. I wish I could download them but they have big file sizes and my mother won't agree. -___- I doubt if I could really watch even half of the movie tonight.

Well, there's only a few days left till school resumes, and I'm pretty excited, since I get to see everything and everyone in school again. HAHA. It's pretty boring here at home, but good thing I found some ways to keep me entertained, and I kept contact with those I missed, which did lessen my yearning for them. LOL. Just kidding. Who are they to be yearned for? Oh, again, this is another joke. I do miss them, especially the teachers and my close friends. xD

English Please

Should've posted that as a reminder to everyone who posts a message in my Shoutmix box. Or at least do post with languages I could understand.

It's just that I'm so tired of reading messages in Indonesian language. Not everyone understands languages other than English you know? And I also noticed that these Indonesian messages are advertisements, so at least they should know how important it is to make advertisements understandable to everyone, right?

Speaking also of advertisements, you should not post such on my Shoutmix box, since it's quite annoying. The worse part is that these advertisements are mostly about indecent products like "private part" enhancements, and they're giving my blog a bad image for that. I also noticed that they also put these kinds of advertisements on comments. This is not a website of adult content you know! Just look how this blog looks like. It's a personal blog, not a blog for everything else.

If they also want to drive traffic, or drive me some traffic, at least tell me in English. They should not send me a message wherein the only word I understand is "traffic". LOL

Other bloggers also prohibit such things, right? I know it's also my fault that I did not make such rules for that, that's why they go on posting those kinds of messages.

Day 1: Ten Secrets

I'll just write here things most people don't know about myself. I won't write my deepest secrets. LOL

Upon my very first enrollment in school, instead of being in Nursery, I was accelerated to Kinder 1.
I'm a consistent honor student from Kinder 1 to the present. Never was a school year that I wasn't an honor student. :)
I was always within the Top 5 in the honors' list. I've never been rank 6 and down.
My handwriting slightly differs with the pens I use. xD
I have had 3 cellphone numbers. The first one got "sim rejected", the second one was with the cellphone that got snatched, and the third one is what I'm using now.
I never spoke well until I was 6.
I don't subscribe to unlimited texting, 'coz I'm lazy at texting. HAHA
I'm somewhat nearsighted, but I don't like to wear eyeglasses just yet.
My day won't be complete without checking my Facebook account.
I usually forget things.

Since today's the first day of our sembreak, and knowing that it would be a 10-day vacation, doing this 10-day challenge suddenly popped up on my mind.

But before telling you about it, I'll talk about the highlights of this month.

October 3 to 7, 2011 - The CUBED Foundation Day Celebration! Let me show it in pictures:

And Kevin, my guy friend, gave me this rosary to guide me through the games I was going to play during the Intrams:

And you know, this really helped me! :) I won 2nd Place in our Chess Tournament because of God's guidance. I thank Him for that.

Did I mention we took this with my new camera? I'm mentioning it now, and it was my birthday gift! :D I would like to thank my parents so much for it.

Now I could take pictures whenever I want, as long as the batteries' not dead. LOL

Moving on, here's the 10-day challenge I was talking about:
