So, so happy!

Hey everyone! How are you all? For me, I'm so happy today! You know why? It's because our report cards were already given, and also I'm the top first honor! I'm glad things came as I expected them to be! I'm also glad me and my sister weren't late! Read on more about it!

Lets start with what happened from the time I woke up.

I woke up very late early morning! Instead of waking up 5am, I woke up 5:45am! I'm really rushing myself to get ready for school! And I still needed to cook our rice! It was really a hassle because this day is our flag ceremony which starts 7:20am, 10 minutes earlier than our usual school time during Tuesday until Friday. Me and my sister were rushing to get ready fast while our brother, as usual, is so slow and doesn't really care. So, obviously, me and my sister were the ones to finish getting ready first while my brother is still being slow. He's really like a turtle to me, or even a snail! That's how slow he is! He doesn't care if we would be late in coming to class! I hope he would change for the better! I blame him when we almost got late! We were forced to just ride the jeepney in coming to school leaving him behind. Glad it didn't take long for us to wait for it. We met some of our schoolmates in the jeepney! There were many of them. We arrived just in time in school! It was 5 minutes more until the time. My brother arrived in school moments later and was already late, sent to the covered court where late comers would wait. He should have learned his lesson!

We had our regular class in the morning while in the afternoon, we should have been practicing for our foundation day but nothing about it really happened. We just got our report card, let the parents come to see it, and announce the honors. And speaking of these, here's what I can say...

Well, I'm so happy when I saw my grades on my report card! I got all line of 9, and only one grade is lower than 95. Take a look at them here!

Click the image to enlarge it.

So, what do you think? Aren't they great? I really worked hard for those grades and also had faith in God. I'm glad He answered my prayers! My lowest is 93 while my highest is 100!

The average of my grades is 96.58%. Each of the subjects had their corresponding units. The grading system used is cumulative.

Here are the list of honors. We only have two(2) honor students, since it is really hard for some to reach the average of 90%, the average to qualify for the honor's list. Both of us are first honors! Our average should be above 95% to qualify for that rank.

List of Honors
1st Grading Period

  • Name----------------------------Rank----------------------------Average
  • Vanesa R. Salcedo --------- First Honors ------------------- 96.58%
  • Christianne N. Patay ------------- First Honors ------------ 95.35%

I'm so happy for the results! Hope I can do better! There are still 3 more grading periods to go! Wish I could maintain my rank until the finals! :D I would want to receive a gold medal again!

Many of my schoolmates congratulated me for my good work! I'm lovin' it! They, too, now know how I do in school!

Comment about these if you like! And speaking of commenting, I changed the settings of it and made it a pop-up window. These would lessen the time of loading from one page to the other.

Well, that's it for now! Have a nice day!

EDIT: Oh, I just remembered! Tomorrow's our Science Congress! I'm so nervous about it! I hope everything goes well! But why am I still a little relaxed on this? hehe...

For Jasper, we talk sometime. I'm enjoying his company! I just wanted to be friends with him. Well, I got a little crush on him. But I don't give it much attention. I'm paying attention more on my studies you know! :D

That's it! :D

Rain, rain, go away...

....come again some other day! Hey everyone! How's your day? For me, it's just fine. It kept on raining here on our place! It feels already that the sun won't come out. It's so gloomy. Even though today is already noon, it still feels like it is still morning.

Yesterday, it rained very hard in our place! In Luzon was much raining harder! According to the news on television, the flood was so high there and rained very, very hard! Many houses were drowned, even vehicles were also drowned! One hospital building also got flooded until the third floor! People were left homeless, hungry, needy. Oh, how poor they are! I'm so glad that it didn't rain this hard in our place. Well, the rain was hard but it didn't flood the place. Thank God, we're safe!

Now, as I have said, it is very gloomy. The sun wasn't so brightly shining. When I woke up, I thought it was still very early but when I looked at the time, it was already 9am (coz I woke up at that time). It still looked like it was still around 6:30am.

Well, I woke up earlier than that time. I woke up around 6am because I'm already used to wake up very early today because of school (and waking up from the alarm). I texted my science teacher about our congress, what we need to prepare for it and when would it be held. She said that we would just prepare our write up and our finished product from our investigatory project. She said also that it would already be on Tuesday! Oh, I have little time left already! Plus, my members are not cooperative! I also asked my teacher about my grades from her subject and said that it was above 90 but she's not sure and couldn't really remember, and she also said that I'm the highest. So, my friend was right! I'm so happy, very happy about it!

Recently, my teacher advisor just asked me by text message what is the correct spelling of my name, because actually, my name was confusing for others to spell, since usually, my name is spelled with a double 's' (Vanessa), but MY spelling of the name is Vanesa. I'm glad he asked me because I really don't want others to spell my name wrong! Looks like he is really careful of the spelling...hehe... :]

Finally! Tomorrow's the distribution of report cards! I can't wait to see my grades! I'm also looking forward for my ranking! I hope I would still be the top! I don't want to embarrass myself you know! I feel like texting all my teachers asking what my grades are! That's how excited I am!

Even though things come as I hadn't expected them to be, it's ok for me, because that's life! Life isn't always great!

I'm glad my cough and cold is getting better! Because these are somewhat killing me, not literally though! Thank God!

If you read my previous post, remember what I said their about my guy friend? The part where I said that I like him? Well, it's pretty much true, really. I don't want to discuss it further because I'm not that comfortable talking about my 'feelings', since I think they are not really that true! I don't want to be involve in those!

A Fun Day!

Hello everyone! A pleasant afternoon to you all! I'm so happy this day! You know why? Just read on to know...

Today, we had our Foundation Day rehearsals. I waked up very early in the morning, around 5am, because I thought my sister and brother would also be early for the practice, but it turned out they would have their rehearsal at 9am. I prepared everything to bring for the practice, cooked our rice, took a bath, then changed my clothes. When my family already woke up, we had our breakfast. We ate porkchop. After that, I changed to my civilian attire, tried to remember the things I needed to bring to see if I forgot something, and a lot more. While doing those, my cellphone beeped to let me know I had a new message received. It turned out that my guy friend, Jasper, was the one who texted me, asking whether we would wear our civilian then wear our I.D. and go to CU Main at 7:30am. Since this is what we've been told by our teacher, I answered yes to his questions. After that, he texted me about our grades in Integrated Science and Chemistry. He said that he is the one who got the highest mark for the whole first year, and he also congratulated me that I also had the highest mark! I'm so happy when I knew it then asked how did he know the results and said that he just asked our science teacher about it. He also mentioned that he also got the highest grade in their Statistics. I'm happy for him! He's so smart! ;D I like him!

Then we just texted on various topics until I already arrived at our main campus. We met there with his friends, and waited for others to arrive. I am so happy to meet a friend like him! I kind'a learned a lot from him, about their life, and some other things.

Moments later, another friend of mine finally arrived (she's Charizze)! She's my best friend, FYI. We were so happy to see each other again, and as usual, her grandmother was with her. Her grandmother is kind'a nice, offering me some snacks, talked about some matters about my friend (coz she's an autistic child) to let me understand her more, and also gave me some info about herbal medicines. She also told me what our school's main campus looked like during the 80's when she still studied then. For me, she did have a lot of experiences already!

Later, the volleyball game finally started. It is under women high school category. Our school qualified for the championship! I'm so happy for our players! They really worked hard to win! But unfortunately, they lost. But who cares? Our school won 2nd place! Xavier University was the champion. And besides, that school is already known to win a lot of times, and our school is left with little chance to defeat them. How I wish our school would be like theirs. Teamwork and determination is really the key.

quotecrave.net

When the game was finished, we went to our school campus. I rode with my friend and with her grandmother on the taxi. I'm so glad they allowed me. When we arrived, we saw a basketball game at our covered court. It was, I think, between Lourdes High School and Saint Mary's Academy. Since I didn't really watch the whole game, I didn't know who win, and I didn't even bother to ask those people around about it.

We had our practice, copied some notes for us to read and memorize for the Foundation Day. We were assigned to classrooms. Our assigned classroom was so crowded because 1st year and 2nd year are actually very many, 1st year having 3 sections and 2nd year having 2 sections. Plus, the classroom was very dirty! It looks like it hadn't been cleaned for how many days! I hope they would clean that when classes resume, since on weekends, we are usually free to do whatever we want in the school. But not necessarily do those that we know are already bad and liked to do them. There were a lot of high school students who were there, but of course, many were also absent. The reason why many attended the practice is that our attendance would be checked by our teacher and if we don't attend ALL the said activities, our clearance would not be signed by him, and we get low grades. But still, there are also some people who don't believe it or don't care about their grades, then did not attend the practice. Oh well, that's who they are!

Recently, I just updated my Plurk and Twitter pages! I like how they look already! It's been so long I hadn't use Twitter. I kind'a miss the site and came back to it ;). Now, I started using it again! Take a look at my Plurk and Twitter pages if you like!

I just found a great site on quote graphics, as well as twitter layouts! They have neat designs! Here are their links:

QuoteCrave - quote graphics
Twitter-Backgrounds.net - Twitter layouts

Check them out if you like!

For now, most of my Facebook friends aren't online yet. So I just have to wait for the meantime! Moments later, it would be full of online friends anyway, and have lots of people to choose from to chat! Oh, I love chatting!

I would like to thank those who tag on my tagboard and leave comments on my post! They are highly appreciated!

Some time ago, it rained hard for a short time. Too bad it wasn't long enough for me to enjoy it :D. I really love rainy days! It usually has cool and windy weather! For me, It depends really what weather I like more. Sometimes, when I think that warm weather is too much already, I prefer more rainy days, just like now. But when I think that cool weather seems never ending, I prefer more sunny days, especially when I'm in a mood to get fresh air!

Today, I'm so happy that my father received a gift from the government for his birthday on Wednesday! It was an expensive, neat laptop! I'm using it now already! I wish I could post a picture of it here! It looks so new, because it is! It was so expensive! I'm glad this was my father's gift! My father's a lawyer by the way :). Check out his blog at RealTrueStories.blogspot.com! You could really learn a lot of things about life, his outlooks, what he thinks about the government, his opinions, and a lot more!

My mother just talked to her friend from Visayas about how they are, and a lot more. She discovered unlimited talk and text calls! My mother planned to use it from now on in order to save more load! Me, also, am excited about it. Now I can text and call without worrying that my load would run out. Actually, unlimited call and text has already been a popular offer but at first, my parents won't allow it because of some reasons I forgot. Now, because we need to save load, my parents finally approved it! Now I could enjoy its benefits!

In the morning, I saw my teacher advisor computing already the grades! How I wish I could take a peek on them! I'm really, really excited to see the results! I hope it would be great! Knowing already a grade on one of my subjects, I would love to know more of my grades! My teacher was actually very busy typing there on his computer, writing, copying, and a lot more he should be doing! Grades are due on Monday, you know!

On the other hand, I'm also excited for our science congress! But I still need to ask my teacher what we should prepare for it. I'm already feeling kind'a nervous about it thinking what would happen on the event. I'm so happy that our investigatory project qualified for the said congress! It would be my first time, I mean, our first time, since my group members also hadn't experience being qualifiers. I wish we would be lucky answering the judges' questions correctly and briefly! I really don't want to embarrass myself!

Uhmmm...I have a question. What would you do if a person really forces you to do something you don't like, or like but couldn't do it? It happened to me with my friend. Since she is fond of libre-libre, she keeps on buying me food, even if it's not necessary. She really forces me to eat what she bought! The thought of wasted money also gives me thought that I should just give in to it. Even when we would have our snacks, I'm already like a buddyguard for her, like I'm already her escorter! So, what should I do?

Well, that's it for now, bloggers! Have a nice day!

Things I could think at the moment...

Hey everyone! How are you all? For me, I'm just fine. We had a lot of activities in school. There are also a lot of preparations for our upcoming Foundation Day celebration. We also had our exams just last Wednesday and ended just this morning.

At last! I'm free! Exams are finally over! Oh, how I need some rest from studying a lot! I expected that our exams would be a lot more complicated, since we are already at higher level and as I have observed, lessons are somewhat harder. Glad I answered my exams well enough! Most of them were pretty easy! As usual, Algebra exam was so long! But I answered them well. I know they are correct since I did some checking on it. I hope I would get perfect on most of the exams! Well, of course, I couldn't expect to get perfect on all exams, right?

Last morning, we were just told by our Chemistry teacher that we are qualified for the final congress (for the investigatory project)! I was so happy when I knew! But on the other hand, I am kind of nervous since I observed that those who qualified for it usually were asked some nerve - wracking questions about the Investigatory project, and if they couldn't answer, they are somewhat being embarrassed by the judges to the whole audience. You know, when I get embarrassed, I would remember it for a long time and haunt me. But even when it happens to me, it's ok, experience is the one that counts anyway.

For the distribution of cards, it was postponed on Monday. Too bad, i'm excited pa nmn...hehe... but it's also great because teachers are given longer deadline for it and they could review it well. I hope they could already compute for the honors' list! I'm so excited to find out my ranking and grades! I hope I would still be a first honor, and maintain it until the end of my school years ^_^! Even when my performance was not as good as I expected them to be, I would still have some chances for the coming grading periods! Wish me luck!

Now, as what I have noticed, Facebook is getting very popular already! In school, I could hear almost everybody talk about it, including me! It is indeed really an addicting social site to be in! Games there are so enjoyable! Applications are so fun to use! Quizzes are fun to take! Facebook, for me, is an all-in-one website! We could be entertained, have something to learn, and a lot more.

You know, I'm starting to like riding a jeepney! It is because I could learn some new songs I hear from them, and...add them to my playlists on Mixpod or listen to them on YouTube. I love discovering new things around me! The world is so great! I could also explore around and meet other faces of people, seeing some of them beautiful, ugly, poor, rich, and a lot more.

Recap this week...

Monday - No classes due to "The end of Ramadan" and "Anniversary of the Martial Law". Kind'a boring at home, but I did some worthwhile activities.

Tuesday - Classes resumed. We had some review for the exams, did some activities, and oh, received my test result for Intermediate Algebra! I got a perfect score! I'm so happy for it! And by the way, most of the high school students (boys) had their proper haircut! Even those who already have a proper haircut still cut their hair. Some of my them even made themselves bald! Bald people really look funny! My classmates laughed at them! But they only cut their hair so that they would not be kicked out from the school, since they already have a lot of offenses.

Wednesday to Friday - Scheduled exams! Hope I did well! Just like I said above, exams were pretty easy for me because I studied hard. Today, Friday, we had our exams in the morning and the rehearsals for the Foundation Day in the afternoon. Just like what I had expected, rehearsals didn't really follow the given time scheduled. Eventhough it should have started 1pm, it started around 2:30pm. One and a half hour was the difference. Hahaiii...Filipinos are not that time conscious. But good thing that it ended early! Instructors were Dance Troupe members from CU Main, our school's main campus.

Tomorrow would be the Volleyball Women High School Finals! Glad our school qualified for it! I wish them a lot of luck for the game! :D I hope they would win! After watching the game, we would go to our school for the rehearsal. Good thing it's just half day!

This is indeed a week full of busy tasks!

So, maybe that would be all!

Thanks a lot for visiting my blog! Have a nice day! God Bless us all and take care!

Just Random Stuffs...

Hey everyone! This week has been great for me! Let me show you this week's recap:

Monday - Nothing extraordinary happened on this day...just can't remember it for the meantime...hehe...

Tuesday - On this day, usual things also happened. We learned some codes in Computer class, we solved a lot of math problems in Intermediate Algebra and Geometry, reminded by our Filipino teacher that he would be observed by our Principal on Friday, and had our SRA (not sure what it means) in English. Oh, I got my test result in Filipino on this day! I got 57/60. Actually, I got 52/60 but my teacher let us add 5 to our score because of the near approaching Christmas Day! So, this is my score! I forgot about who got the highest mark on this.

Wednesday - Oh! I love this day! We had our annual educational field trip! We went to Nature's Spring, McArthur Park, and Crocodile Farm. All of us learned a lot of things while on the trip! Learning how our Nature's Spring product was made, enjoying at the park, and seeing some great ostriches and crocodiles! This day is truly one of the unforgettable days of my life! I also almost forgot my assignments with all the excitement!

Thursday - We came back to our usual routine in school. Test results were already given! I got a perfect score in Geometry exam! Assignment result in Geometry was not so good. I got 43/60...don't want to make that in bold..hehe...but it's ok, I could still cope up. And besides, it was a sort of an a little expected score since I made the assignment late at night and couldn't already think very straight because of sleepiness. We were reminded once again about our observation with my Filipino teacher and the principal for the next day. I hoped it would go well.

Friday - Oh! In the morning, when I got inside the classroom, my Filipino teacher was already there! I thought I was late but as soon as I got to the classroom, that was the time the bell rang! It was so timing! I'm glad I'm not late, because if I am, I would end up in the Library and with the Prefect of Discipline explaining why we're late. It was always my brother's fault that we always end up almost late. He is so slow getting ready. During PE, we had our ballet basics. You know, the starting position and the like. It made me do the steps over and over again to memorize it, since we are required to memorize it for our practical quiz. The practice payed off! I got a perfect score on the quiz. In the afternoon, during Chemistry class, many of my boy classmates were sent to the principal's office because of the many violations they had made. One of their violations was the chancing, or as what my classmate calls it, acts of lasciviousness, and some even call it a sexual harrassment (lol). With this violation, my girl classmates who were victims of this were also sent to the principals office for witness and interview. I think it was embarrassing for them to let them go there, since this situation is usually confidential. 11 of my classmates, including me, were the only ones left in the classroom who were not sent to the principal's office. Actually, we should be only ten who would be left, but one of those girls who went was sent back to the classroom before the other girls, and I don't know why. It was so boring in the classroom without those violators. Instead of having a quiz in Biology, we were instead given an activity to do which would already serve as the quiz. Pointers were also given. We had our Flag Retreat after that. Our principal announced to the boys that they should already have the proper haircut on Tuesday, because she would already check them.

Saturday and Sunday - On these days, nothing much would have happened but, our Chess Tournament was scheduled. It was so stressing because I have to wake up early and get ready for it. I was so worried about the writing of the algebraic notation of chess moves. This was so confusing, but thank God, we were permitted to just check whenever we made a move, I mean, we don't have to write those confusing algebraic notations. I lost in the first two rounds but won in the third and fourth round since my opponent didn't arrive, or never came before the default time. It was so funny winning by default! I was so happy inside about it...hehe...on the fifth round, it took a little long for me to loose since we had made 39 moves in all. On the first round, it took 27 moves to beat me, or was it more...because actually, we forgot to check whenever we made a move. On the second round, I was only defeated in 25 moves. These days were really unforgettable, because it is the first time I joined a chess tournament. I love my experience!

I really love these happenings! They were full of new things to discover and learn!

This post is already very long! I still didn't even reach the second part of the blog..hehe...

You know what? I've gotten a little frustrated about my mail having a lot of messages to open. It started when my mother forced me to complete a task in MyLot. We signed up on this site. And this started it. Now, I became lazy to read my messages on my mail because of this. Oh, I really hate it! Messages there were so pointless to me! I think they should have gone to the spam folder since they really make my inbox full.

I'm so excited for the distribution of cards this Friday! I can't wait to see my grades and know my class standing! I think I have already told you about it in my previous post.

Today, I had just watched a movie, "Alvin and the Chipmunks". This movie is so great! They are so cute, I mean their appearance and also their voice! I didn't watch the whole movie though. I just watched a part of it. So, I couldn't tell you the whole plot of the movie, unless I would read it on Wikipedia. :)

By the way, during the field trip, I've taken pictures. Do you like them? I just asked because I am really a beginner with this stuff. I mean, I just got my digicam as a present on my 13th birthday (last year), but I do not use it often. So, that's why I'm still not an expert of it. I love storing my memories in it. My Digital Camera is one of my favorite gadgets and also one of the gadgets I've wished for. I'm glad this was my gift! It is truly useful for me.

You know, I'm starting to like chess more! I am becoming better at playing it. And also, in school, it pulls up my extracurricular, and we are also given P75.00 allowance and a 100% grade in PEHM (Physical Education, Health, Music)! It inspires me well.

This week, we are already told by our teachers that the school will implement a new system basing from the school they had visited in Bohol. They said that they would not give assignments anymore and lectures. But instead, would let us read our lessons for us to understand it ourselves, given activity sheets, let us prepare concept notes, projects, and a lot more. The grades for the assignment would be basing from what activities they choose. Now, this is an advantage for teachers since they don't have to waste their voice in teaching us, because students don't usually listen to the teacher. So, this system would teach them a lesson! In this system, there would be more writing than listening. Writing is already aching my hand! It makes me feel like I have to let somebody massage my hand.

The system makes us use our brains more.

I just want to ask you. What is the difference between a nerd and a geek? This question just popped up in my mind, because I have a classmate which looks like that (like a geek or nerd?). I show a little pity on him though. He doesn't have any friends to go with him wherever he goes or talk to him. You know, like those shows on tv which shows nerds and geeks. He is such a loner. And I think he's weird. But I am trying to understand his attitude.

I'm glad I am normal, and living an almost perfect life! I am so thankful to God for this life! Living with no or minor regrets, peace, happiness, hope, and a lot more. I love the blessings given by God! I treasure them all!

Who invented emo by the way? You know, people who hates their life, those who are emotional, loves black, and something like that? I just wanted to ask because of my curiosity.

Well, that's it for now, Bloggers! Have a nice day!

Turn on the Spotlight...

Hey everyone! How are you all? I'm fine by the way. The title came from the title of my current favorite song "Spotlight" by Jennifer Hudson, then just added the "turn on the..." because it means that lets "turn on the spotlight", so that you will listen...or read my blog..hehe...

So, let me tell you about our field trip! It was so fun that when I got home, I check right away my photos I took from the trip! We had it last Wednesday. We took a tour at the Nature's Spring factory, took our lunch at the McArthur Park, then went to...the place I enjoyed the most on the trip...the Crocodile Farm! The trip to Coca - Cola factory was not continued, and also the going to Darling Foods was discontinued. I forgot the reasons why. Maybe it's because they had some maintenance to do.

The Nature's Spring factory was great! We learned their processes in making their bottled water, how they purify it, and they even let us take a free sample of their flavored water! It was really delicious! I wish I could have bought their water there, because I would love to try their flavored water more! We tried grape - flavored water by the way.

We went to McArthur Park next, but we were supposed to go to Coca - Cola factory but they had their maintenance. We rode a jeepney in going there. I liked the jeepney because they had some great songs! We took our snack and lunch at the McArthur Park. I also saw there some poor people who just ask some food from people around the park. They look so hungry and pale. Their clothes were very torn and dirty. They are somewhat many in the family. My friend said that they came from the province then just asked for some necessities from people they meet in order for them to survive. I show a little pity on them. Their parents should have studied hard in their school years, but since they didn't, look what happened to them - they couldn't apply for a decent job, they couldn't provide enough necessities for the family, and their children also suffer the consequences. I'm glad most of my classmates and schoolmates were considerate in giving them their food...but they were just their leftovers. And what happened is that those street folks now keep on asking them for food. It is as if they became a little abusive. But we try to understand because they don't really have proper education and don't actually know anything.

We went next to Crocodile Farm! It took a very long time for us to go there because it is very far away since it is already located in a province. It was like we were in a long, long trip. I really enjoyed seeing the sites while passing by them. It took maybe one(1) hour to go there. And I almost fell asleep because of the boring and old music. They were lively but they were old, that's why I don't like it.

We saw a lot of ostriches and crocodiles there. My sister, who has also been there while having their field trip, said that she also saw some other animals there like the peacock and the sheep. Too bad I did not see them, because there were some places there that I didn't go.

Here are the pictures of some animals I saw there:

The ostriches...

and the crocodiles...

I could have put a video here but maybe it will take time to upload it. I took a video of the crocodiles fighting for their food when workers fed them. There was a lot of splashing and the like. We were so excited about it. Ostriches also, I like how they eat the leaves my classmates fed them. I also took a video of that.

When we got back from the educational field trip, great memories filled me. It was an unforgettable day. When I got home, we did our usual routine - change to my house clothes, eat, then use the computer...but when I used it, I immediately uploaded the pics I took to Facebook. With all the excitement, I almost forgot my assignments. Glad I still remembered. I slept very late because of that. I still managed to finish them.

Oh, and by the way, yesterday, I got already the result of my Geometry exam. I got a perfect score! 40/40 is the mark. I really love it since it was...for as long as I remembered, the first time I got perfect for Geometry quarterly exam (in 2nd year). My results were great actually. But I still want to improve.

Our project is finally resolved! We passed it already this day. The only worry is that how much score would Ma'am Bas give to it. Our solid figure was small. And she even said that the bigger the solid figure, the bigger the grade, but when the figure is small, she would also give a small grade for it. I hope she would be considerate. I really need a high grade!

The distribution of cards schedule was transferred to next Friday, the last day of the exam. I'm really excited for the results! Can't wait!

Well, that would be all! I just might edit this soon! Have a nice day!

Some Excitements...and Worries

Hello everyone! How are you all? For me, I'm fine. Just like what the title says, I have some excitements for today, as well as some worries. I'll share them to you.

Well, I'm excited for our field trip tomorrow, our school's foundation day, and the distribution of cards (announcing of honors)! For the field trip, we would ride the jeep in going to Nature's Spring and Coca - Cola factory, and the school bus in going to Crocodile Farm. I'm glad the school bus is already fixed, and we don't have to ride the Cyclone or Lucy bus...hehe...
I'm going to expect a lot of fun there! Bonding with my classmates and schoolmates! And the fun part is that, there are no classes! All we have to do is enjoy the trip! But I'm also not sure if we would be required to make a reaction paper for it.

For the school's Foundation Day, well, more like a week for me, we would have our field demonstration, a thanksgiving mass in honor of our Saint Francis of Assisi, family day, and the Intramurals! This is a 3 day celebration, that's why I said a while ago that it's more like a week for me. Oh well, it's pretty much the same as last year. Nothing much changed. And oh, we had already been measured for our foundation day uniforms, and our uniform's color is yellow, one of my favorite colors. It is also the color symbol for our memory of the EDSA People Power I, and the color of the dress our former President Cory Aquino usually wears. I'm hoping also that I would also be included for the Intramurals. I would want to join Chess, since it is a sport where we can train our minds to solve logical problems. I would also like to join Badminton, if there is any, I'm not sure. I would love to be active in these activities since they pull up my grades, and they could also enjoy me.

For the Distribution of Cards, this is really the one that I've always been excited for, since I would know how I did during the grading period, to also know who did really well from my classmates, and to also know which classmate of mine should I compete for the ranking...because I've always wanted that I would always be the smartest and best student in our class, I would want to maintain my rank as the top First Honor, since I was consistent of it when I was in First Year. If I would lose the competition, it would be a great embarrassment for me, since I really couldn't accept that someone could be better than me in academics. That is why to maintain it, I study really hard and join some extracurriculars at the same time. I would engage in school contests and quiz bees, and even if I do not win, it is still ok because I would still get some points, although not as high as the ones who won, but who cares? As long as I got a point, right?

Now for my worries, I am really worried about our Math Project, since we are required to build a cube..not just a cube, but a BIG cube, because our teacher said that the bigger we make the solid figure, the bigger our grade is. But how are we supposed to make it? We couldn't even hire a carpenter to make it for us, since they are really busy and there payment is very expensive. My partner also doesn't have a carpenter neighbor because she said that all her neighbors are soldiers and policemen since they live in a camp. And the deadline...I mean the DEADLIEST DEADLINE is on Friday! On all the projects, why did our teacher choose this?! It is so hard since not all of us have carpenter neighbors! And we still have to make it BIG?! But look on the bright side...our writeup is already ok. But the problem really is the solid figure. I'm really hoping that our situation here would be resolved and we could pass the project on time, for us to pass, or even better, to get high marks! I hope that we could accomplish it well. I really do not want to fail it, since I had never failed in school, and never...ever will! I always make a promise to myself to do good in my studies, and I do not want to break it. Of course, there is a saying, "Promises are made to be broken.", but this does not apply to me. I try hard to keep it. Better keep my hopes up!

And hey! Our school's system has already changed! There would already be less assignments, but there would be more activity sheets and projects, and they are usually very long to make and write. They said there would be no more or less lecturing, just activities. We would not apply anymore the traditional way of teaching, since it is also somewhat not worth it because some students really do not listen to the teacher and the teacher's voice would be wasted. We are taught to be independent now. I seem to like this system now, since I love writing to improve my handwriting. And also to give teachers a break!

Well, my post is long! That's it for now, bloggers! Have a nice day!

Out of the Ordinary...

Hi everyone! How are you all? For me, I'm fine. I had just lessened my computer time, so to all my friends in Facebook, I was not online during the morning because of that...hehe...
Read the title? Hahaiii...I just couldn't think of a better title. Bear with it :)

So, I'm finally 14 years old! Now I'm a little bit older and responsible. Glad to be alive, and thanking God for it! Life is so precious you know.

Well, my day went great! As I said, I lessened my computer time, because I spent the morning playing badminton with my brother and sister, and also taking care of my baby brother while my mother is still doing something at home. And I also need to stay out so that I would breath fresh air, since it was a long time when I last went out at home to do it because of computer. Oh, I miss the outdoors!

Now, finally in front of the computer, as usual, I am using Facebook, and also bloghopping and dropping by others' blogs! I really like chatting with those that are online on Facebook. We always had some interesting stuff to talk about! And for bloghopping, I really like knowing how others feel by reading their blogs, and also get some ideas on their blog layout. I'm starting to like reading more! Words are so powerful!

Oh, and by the way, thanks to all who greeted me a happy birthday yesterday and today! really appreciate that! Glad you remembered it, they are so meaningful to me. To those who did not greet, well, it's ok, since all people forget things, I totally understand. I'm an understandable person, well, it depends really on the situation and my mood. Since I am always in a great mood when it is my birthday, I was considerate!

I'm very excited for our field trip this Wednesday, since, like what I said, I would discover a lot of things during the trip.

Hey! I just remembered, I was supposed to make my assignment in Social Studies today! I got to make it now because tomorrow is the deadline. And also for my Geometry, it is still unclear for me what the project given is all about. My reason is that I was not around during the announcement of the project due to our peer counselors' training and seminar. The deadline also was not clear, my classmates said it was supposed to be last Tuesday, but my teacher seem that she forgot about it...hehe...

Well, short post, right? That's it for now, bloggers! Have a nice day!

Turning 14! :)

Hello everyone! It's finally my 14th birthday! It was great, a blast! Read on...

Well, In the morning, of course, I woke up with a smile on my face :). My family greeted me a Happy Birthday, and also my textmates/classmates/friends greeted me! My mother's friend, although it had already been a long time we had never seen each other again, still remembered my birthday and also greeted me. I'm glad many remembered my birthday! I'm so happy!

We went to Limketkai a while ago and bought some delicious food! There were a lot of them, with different fast food chain brands! They were Jollibee, Goldilocks, and we also bought 2 kilos roasted pig! I thought,...we would gain weight again with all this food! I was so full! This is one of my best birthdays for me! What's more to ask?

Me with my papa...

A lot of good luck came my way :). Some were school related luck, while others were just plain good luck, like winning a raffle promo, cured sickness, and a lot more.

So, I'm finally 14! I'm one year older! As what I have expected, I would have more opportunities to come, more experiences and events, be more responsible, and a lot more.

You know what? I'm currently addicted to disco and rhythm and blues music! One of them was the song, "Dying Inside to Hold You", by Timmy Thomas. If you want to listen, it is the first song you hear from the playlist. He is such a good artist, since while singing the song, it sounds like he is really feeling the song and such. You know,...he is really dying inside to hold his love, hehe...you could watch his music video to know what I mean.

In Facebook, I started to play Farmville. I just gave it a try since a lot of my friends there plays it. I like the game, since it is kinda fun planting and harvesting our plants. Here is the picture:

Since I am still a new player, I still had a few plants in my field, but they will soon grow and multiply.

Also in Facebook, I always enjoy taking quizzes there, even though mostly it is not true. Results are funny, sometimes unagreeable, and a lot more.

I'm liking Facebook better than Friendster, since it is already the most popular social site on the web (in my own opinion)! And as young as 13 can already join, unlike Friendster when only 16 and above can join. And in Facebook, we could chat with those that are online!

I'm also having fun blogging here in Blogger! There are a lot of great features here! We could customize our layout the way we want to, and a lot more. We could also make friends with other bloggers, and also have fun link exchanging, and dropping by their blog. Here also in Blogger, we could express our anger without hurting someone physically, and also express our happiness!

Uhm...I have something to ask you. What do you really feel when you are crushing on someone? Because for me, I am unsure on what I feel about it. Is it just liking? or you really feel something for that person? Well, haha....I'm kinda writing random stuffs here...

Well, that's it for now, Bloggers! I just might edit this soon! Thanks for visiting!

EDIT:

I'm currently enjoying editing my pics on a website called picnik.com! Features here are great! There are a lot of fonts, effects, stickers, and a lot more to choose! Here are the results of my customized pictures:

Aren't they great? For me, they are! From now on, this would be how I express myself (on the Internet). I love designing so much! I'm always fond of making things attractive!

Oh, and by the way, I looking forward for our field trip this Wednesday! I hope the bus we would ride would be our own school bus! And I'm also looking forward for fun and experience! This is the reason why I love field trips, to discover and to have fun! I'm so excited!

And oh, my friend texted me this morning that she has a gift to give me. She said she would give it to me on Monday. Well, of course, she did not tell me what's inside it! I hope the gift would be great (very great!)! Something useful and attractive to me :)

Well, that's it for now!

A Week to Remember...

I just couldn't think of a better title :D. Well, this week went great! Exam results are up, we didn't really have a lot of work in school, I did well, and a lot more happenings that I am usually happy for :). Just read on!

Tomorrow is my 14th Birthday! Finally, I'm going to be one year older! I'm glad my classmates and schoolmates remembered my birthday :). They greeted me in advance! And my best friend also was planning to give me a gift! I remembered the time, when I was in Grade 6, no one really in my class remembered my birthday :(. They just remembered it the following day. But of course, my family never forgets my birthday, and I'm so happy for that.

Last morning, my classmates told me that they would love to visit my house to celebrate. One Muslim classmate of mine even said that if I would invite them to eat there, I would tell my mom to not include pork on the menu...hehe...
But unfortunately, my parents do not allow since we are not really fond of inviting people to our celebrations. And besides, we don't have enough food for them!

Me and my family were planning to go to Limketkai to celebrate my birthday. I'm lovin' it, since we're going to buy take out to eat! I would love Goldilocks, McDonald's, Jollibee, Greenwich, Chowking, and a lot more...plus a Birthday Cake! I really do have a big appetite...I love to eat anything delicious!

Recap this week...

Monday - We don't have classes since it is a national holiday for Eraño Manalo. We stayed at home, doing usual things :)

Tuesday - Regular classes resumed. We did things as usual, some activities, seatworks, and quizzes.

Wednesday - Still regular classes. I got my Values Education exam results, and it was great! I got perfect! In Biology, my teacher was very funny as usual :), and kept us happy during his subject.

Thursday - Regular classes. Got my ok result in Computer (could have done better). In Geometry and Algebra, we answered the many activities left for us by our teacher. My other classmates were lazy to do them, and I was just a little nonchalant for them since I was thinking that it is their grade they are not giving importance to. In English, I got the highest score in the exam! Got only 3 mistakes.

Friday - This day, we still had regular classes but we only had class in just a few subjects, since in the morning, we had mass (and I was one of the readers!), and in the afternoon, teachers had their meeting, and we were dismissed early. Some of my classmates greeted me an "Advance Happy Birthday", and I am really happy for that :).

Well, that's the recap!

I'm glad also that my cold and cough were cured fast, but I still have a little cough. I hope I would be fully cured!

Well, that's it for now! Thanks for visiting!

EDIT:

Oh, I just forgot to greet Mama Mary a belated Happy Birthday!

I'm also really excited for our field trip this Wednesday! And finally, I'm going to see a live crocodile in person! And be in a factory filled with lots of machines! But I am beginning to worry because since it is reported that our school bus was in bad condition, we may not ride that air - conditioned, comfortable, big bus, and instead, ride that Cyclone bus, or other buses that are not like our own CU school bus. But let's just hope that our school bus would be fixed, and besides, there is still a lot of time for it to be fixed, since our field trip is still on Wednesday :). I hope it would be a "day to remember"!

That's it for now, bloggers! Take care and God Bless us all!

Something Much...

Hello everyone! How are you all? For me, I'm just fine. Do you like the title? It is actually "Nothing Much" but just modified it to "Something Much", because there would be some things that I would want to show and tell you here. Here they are:

This day, there are no classes. It is declared a national holiday by our President Gloria Macapagal - Arroyo in honor of Eraño "Ka Erdy" Manalo, the Iglesia Ni Kristo Head. September 21 also doesn't have classes because it is the end of the Muslims' Ramadan. Hahaiii...our President keeps on declaring holidays. There are already a lot of school days sacrified (don't know if that's the right word..hehe..). I kind'a miss my friends, classmates, and teachers, I haven't seen them for some time. It's also kind'a boring here at home, but I'm also having a little fun! I used Facebook, Plurk, checked my email, my blog, and a lot more. Here is something I've done (in Facebook) recently:

Can you read? Sorry, the pic is too small...hehe...anyway, I took a quiz entitled "How good is your life?", and for my first take, the result was that from the scale of 1 - 10 (being 10 the highest), I got the scale of 7. I don't like the result, because for me, it isn't quite true because I really do love my life and don't really have heavy hardships that make it bad. So I took it the second time. My result was that it was of the scale of 8 (at least it went higher). After that, I did not retake it anymore :). I was contented with my result.

A while ago, I was a little freaked out because I couldn't access any Google services! I could access all other sites but Google services. I tried to stay calm, and moments later, it was ok. I'm glad it did! Oh, the Internet!

Oh, it's so hot this afternoon! And besides this, I have a hard cough and cold! I really hate being this sick because my body doesn't function well. And it is really timely that I got it when it's almost my birthday, and I really don't like having bad luck when it comes to this. I hope this will go away, before my birthday! I would love it to be a "Hakuna Matata" day...hehe...a Swahili phrase meaning "there are no worries".

I'm turning 14 this Saturday! Wo0ho0 :)! I love it! I'm going to be one year older, more responsibilities, more great experiences, more opportunities, and a lot more! I'm glad I'm still alive today! Thank God for EVERYTHING! You are my Savior! I hope I would live a long, long, very long life! But it is still God who decides!

I'm just going to ask you, is my MixPod on my blog loading very slow? I mean, it keeps on cutting? Because on my computers, it is like that. If you are experiencing this, aren't you bothered? If you are, just tell me and I'll delete it.

Well, that's it for now, Bloggers! Short post, right? hehe...I could edit this soon...

Thanks so much for visiting!

EDIT: I have something to share to you! This text message I received from my textmate goes like this. (for people outside the Philippines, you may not understand this)

Amu versus boy...

Boy: animal u! Person - person me in d farm, my salary did not climb, if i die, hu wil eat my family? You?

You'll find it very funny if you understand it! It is so funny how the boy translated what he said in English..hehe...LOLz. The language is actually Filipino. "Amu" means "master".

I love jokes so much!

Well, that's it for now!

Various Happenings

Hello everyone! A pleasant morning to you all! How are you? For me, I am fine. I'm lovin' these days before my birthday, I'm having a lot of good luck, and a little bad luck...hehe. My bad luck is that I'm having this symptom of a cold or cough. I'm hoping that this would go away. But for the good luck, just read on to know...

Well, this week, we were free from those school works! We didn't really have any regular classes, because last Tuesday, we had our opening of the Science and Math Month, last Wednesday, we had actually regular classes but me and my fellow peer counselors were exempted from two of the subjects in the morning, and in the afternoon we had only class on one subject because those who have a role for the seminars the next day had a meeting, and also for the High School teachers for their journey to Bohol. And for Thursday and Friday, we don't have regular classes because High School teachers had already gone to Bohol and we were loaded with seminars. Last Friday, we had our recollection. Then yesterday, we watched the basketball game at our school. We were supposed to have our chess tournament, but it was postponed to September 19 - 20. For the basketball game, too bad our school lost, maybe it's because of lack of practice and training. They always lose, they only win when they have good luck, or when their opponent didn't arrive...hehe...better luck next time varsity players!

Our recollection last Friday was great! We enjoyed some activities we did! Here is the picture of me and my friend at the school bus going to Carmelite:

This photo was actually taken by my classmate. She uploaded it on Facebook, then I just downloaded it :). My friend was enjoying the view...hehe... Oh, I love the school bus!

In Carmelite, I love their surroundings! We enjoyed playing and walking around! It is a place where we can relax! Here is the picture:

People at the back there were playing! Girls beside me were: from left to right, Princess (covered), Glyka, me, and Charizze!

We really enjoyed a lot of it!

Yesterday, we were supposed to have our Chess tournament but was postponed. There was also a basketball game at our school, but our school lost. Better luck next time for them! But the good side, volleyball team won! They are one of the Top 4! Thank God!

Whew! It's finally our 2nd Grading Period! Can't wait to know the honors! And it's almost my birthday! It's already this Saturday!

Well, that's it for now, Bloggers! Thanks for visiting!

A Happy Week :)

Hehe...you read the title right! This week is indeed very happy! I'm glad that these few days before my birthday went well! So, how are you all? For me, it's obvious, I'm very fine! Read on to find out why...

It's September, the start of the BER months and the countdown for Christmas! And it's also almost my Birthday!

Ok, so lets start with Tuesday, because this day is when we resumed our classes for the week. Well, this day went great, coz I was chosen as our class's representative for the Sci - Math quiz bee (Individual category), but even though I did not win, I am still very happy because I had some good experience, right? Time comes when I won't get nervous anymore when quiz bees or contests come! I didn't win because the questions were so hard, especially Math, we were only given 30 seconds to solve! And some Science questions also were complicated. I try to learn from that experience. Team Category quiz bee was easier than that of Individual category! How unfair! But it's ok, I'm happy for my best friend that she and her team won 2nd Runner Up. Actually, I'm happy for all the winners! (One fact: We woke up very late this day and were so much in a hurry for getting ready for school...I'll try not to wake up late again! Good thing we don't have regular classes!)

Next, yesterday, we have regular classes, but we were exempted from two (2) of the subjects because of our Peer Counselor's Training/Seminar. This training/seminar was so fun! Well, because I laughed a lot because of the jokes of my classmate, and my friend was also there too! We also had some activities that are fun just like knowing each other. On the afternoon, we only had class on one (1) subject, because teachers had their meeting, and me and my classmate also attended our meeting with the peer counselors who have roles for the Psychosexual Seminar and Career Guidance Seminar. I was assigned as the one who introduces the speakers for it. Again, I was so happy because it is the first time that I had a role in a program or affair! And oh, our Technical Writing books were already distributed! Nothing much to say for that!

And last, but not the least, today! We don't have regular classes because High School teachers were off to Bohol! Well, I kind'a miss them because the school is somewhat boring without them. We were loaded with seminars today! The Psycho-something seminar, which I had a part, and the Career Guidance seminars! I'm so happy with this because as I said, I had a role for the introduction of speakers. It seems like it's been a long time that I spoke through a microphone..hehe...well, that is true! I hope that how I spoke there was ok :). We had some sex education, we talked about love and relationships, and a lot more. I'm glad there was no malice there! And also, we had the Career Guidance Seminar, in which we were given some tips and suggestions on what course to take up when we reach college. They were really great, since we were already given clues on what to decide for it. We were actually just guests on that seminar because that seminar is supposedly for the 4th year only. But we were just included so that at our early and young age, we already decided for our future. We also had the Brain Workout. We were taught how to play the game, Sudoko. The game was easy to understand, but when we were given already Sudoko problems, it was actually very hard to solve, for me, I guess. I'm glad one of my friends taught me how to solve it, I am very thankful for her!

For tomorrow, we are going to have a recollection. I am so excited because this is our time that we would get to know each other better and also to communicate with Our God the Almighty.

Now, for my Birthday Countdown! 9 days to go!

Well, that's it for now, bloggers! Thanks a lot for visiting and reading!
