Happy Birthday, my dear baby brother! :D

Yep! It's my baby brother's birthday today! He just turned 3! :) Happy birthday, baby Prudence! :D

About the cake, there's only "From Mama and Papa" because if we put mine and my siblings' names too, it wouldn't fit anymore on the cake. The cake by the way is Goldilocks's Choco Sansrival! It's so yummy, when cold! :)

So, Imma tell you about what we did today for his birthday, and some other things that's not related to his birthday!

We went to Coconut Bay Resort to celebrate Prudence's birthday! We had fun swimming, and guess what? I can swim! I can finally swim! I'm so happy! But I hadn't mastered it yet though, I had just learned how to float and move forward! But, then again, who cares? I can finally swim! Yay!

It feels so good knowing that you already know how to swim with these water currents ;)

Here's the food we ate! ^^

Mouthwatering, eh? :D Yumm!

Here is the picture of our birthday boy! :)

Isn't he cute? ^_^

When we got home, all of us got into our own ways. My brother playing basketball with neighbors, my papa watching them play basketball, my mama watched along with papa, me using the Internet, my sister watching TV, and my baby brother sleeping! :)

While I was using the Internet, I fixed my new blog, http://oh-em-gee-nice.blogspot.com, and this blog as well! I relocated this blog's navigations below the header, and I fixed the navigations on my new blog! I really love the layout I had put there in my new blog, and then again, I plan to change this blog's layout! Maybe I would change it on the first anniversary of my blog. I plan to change this blog's layout to my new blog's layout, then I would just change the layout of my new blog. Do you agree on my plan? I would like to make this blog simple and neat, just like my new blog.

I was so relieved, by the way, that I still know how to do those navigations! It was just simple after all! You know, when I am trying to make those, I was almost giving up. I asked ate Pearl this and that, then she directed me to a tutorial link (that doesn't work anymore today), but still didn't understand. I asked her again, then she said it's just a matter of experimentation. Yeah, I experimented some stuff. It took me very, very long. Days passed and I still didn't get it. But one day, when I was about to give up, my navigations finally worked! I finally made a working navigation! I thank you so much, ate Pearl, and for my not giving up too easily with making those! :D But I would mostly thank God for giving me strength to cope up with this! Without Him, I wouldn't had made these navigations which many ask how to do!

To tell you guys, I really was very, very happy when I had achieved this! hahaha..xDD You might think that this is just a little thing but it means a lot to me! Without those navigations, there would never be fast-loading pages, and these navigations really do help a lot! :)

You want me to post a tutorial on this? Okay! I will write it on a separate post, maybe, uh, tomorrow, if I don't have other things in mind to blog about! :)

To all who thanked me for the award I had given, you're all very welcome, you deserve it! And to those whom I had not given the award to, it's OK, there's always a next time! I chose those people with one criteria, and you just had to figure it out! :D

This post is getting very, very long because of the pictures! It is a photo-spammed entry, ain't it? :D

Well, that's it for now! Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed reading my post! :)

...wait!! Here are some questions!
  1. What can you say about my baby brother's birthday celebration? :)
  2. Do you know how to swim? When did you learn how to swim?
  3. What do you think of my new blog?
  4. What do you think of my plan of changing this blog's layout?
  5. You want me to post a tutorial about how I made the navigations?
--- You have reached the end of post. ^^

EDIT: Today is the last day of May! Yay! Tomorrow is going to be June, and you know what that means? Yeah, it's another new month, and, it's almost school! I never ever wish to extend this summer! LOL! I'm very excited for school! I miss those faces I use to see there! :">

Yeah, I just edited this post with a random thought in mind! :D

--- You have reached another end of the post! ^^

Oh My Gosh! A new addicting song and blog, promotion, Plugging, and First Award i received! :D

Hello everyone! How are you all? For me, I'm doing fine! Well, the title says it all of what I'm going to write about!

But, before that, let me tell you about yesterday! We watched a movie on TV entitled Meet Dave! It was so funny! I enjoyed watching it! :D

Image from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meet_Dave

You know, I'm new to Yahoo! Messenger's features! One of these features is the call! So, how did I discover this? Well, my mother, grandmother, and uncle chatted on Facebook. Uncle told my mother and grandmother that they should call instead on Yahoo! Messenger. As soon as he told them about it, we immediately went to YM and added uncle's email address, but he went offline after that. We continued exploring through Yahoo! Messenger. Hmm..for your information, it's been so long since we had used YM, and I just use Yahoo Mail for chatting with some online people. So, back to the story, I found the call feature. I tried to call the computer my mother's using, and it worked! But too bad the computer my mother's using has no microphone, so, we tried our other computer, and another. The last computer we've tried has the microphone! Then after that, we just had fun calling and chatting, even though we're just near to each other. We also tried calling my neighbor next door! It was still awkward because it was our first time. By the way, we actually have three (3) personal computers and one (1) laptop (the one I usually use).

I've forgotten that I should study that night because of that! -_- Oh! My study update: I have read most of my books already! I think I have read 7? or 8? Bsta, I've read most of it already! :D

So, I've been addicted to this song entitled OMG by Usher! Have you heard that this song has topped the US Billboard Charts? This is how popular and cool the song is! Do you agree? :)

And oh! I have made a new blog, Oh My Gosh! ...You take my breath away! ^o^ See? This is how I love this song so much! haha..xDD I even named my new blog after it! Hope you could visit this blog, and leave some messages! This blog is still under construction!

Have you heard of "Mucophagy"? Read the article here! Disgusting, right? You want me to tell you about it? OK! LOL! You may skip this part if you want to! haha..xDD

In the scientific and medical communities, the technical name for using one’s finger to extract boogers is rhinotillexis, and doing so compulsively is termed rhinotillexomania. The act of eating the resulting harvest is called mucophagy.

Dr. Bischinger has been quoted as saying (in an Austrian accent), "With the finger you can get to places you just can’t reach with a handkerchief, keeping your nose far cleaner. And eating the dry remains of what you pull out is a great way of strengthening the body’s immune system." He then added, "Medically it makes great sense and is a perfectly natural thing to do. In terms of the immune system the nose is a filter in which a great deal of bacteria are collected, and when this mixture arrives in the intestines it works just like a medicine."

'Modern medicine is constantly trying to do the same thing through far more complicated methods, people who pick their nose and eat it get a natural boost to their immune system for free."

So, off to another topic!

I'm publishing on Triond again, to earn more money there! :D I posted something about school, and what I like about it! Here's my article: http://socyberty.com/education/a-few-more-weeks-til-summer-ends-and-school-comes/

Remember to comment and like it if you want to! :) I'm still not so sure on how exactly I could earn in Triond. I earned two (2) cents already, maybe because of the unique visitors, because that's the only thing I saw that's also two! haha.. :D

My Triond account is for posting informative posts, and if you want to see them, visit here: http://www.triond.com/users/vanesanice912

I'll also answer some MyLot questions later. I've been abandoning it for too long.

Oh! Here's the plug from Jose:

Support him by star ratings! :D

Too bad there was no rain this afternoon. But it's OK, we had enough rain for the week!

Tomorrow is my baby brother's birthday! I am looking forward to it! :)

Well, that's it for now! Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed reading my post!

EDIT: Kuya Jose gave this award to me~! I am so grateful to have received this award! It's my first time! :D

Now, I'm going to give this award to these people!

Here's the award I would pass to you all! :D You all deserve it! :) (I just made it bigger!) Image from http://iamdal.blogspot.com/

Well! That would be it! :)

I Have Read...

...most of my school books already! Well, hello there everyone! How are you? I'm doing great, feeling tired, eyes straining already, busy doing something other than blogging here, and head almost aching! haha..xDD

Have you read the last part of my previous post, that I told you I'm encountering a problem at that time? The problem was I accidentally shrunk my blog post editor! I tried to search for various commands on Blogger on how to get it back! Unfortunately, I hadn't found the right command for it. I later then discovered, by retracing my hand-steps, that I had just mistakenly pressed Ctrl+ 0, and when I pressed it again, thank God my blog post editor went back to normal! Yay! I was supposed to press Ctrl+ i, but my finger mistakenly pressed the 0. I'll try to be careful next time! :)

Yesterday, and might as well just this afternoon, in Facebook, I had posted a status stating that I had enrolled already and who among my Facebook friends are done as well. One of my classmate/schoolmate told me that she still hasn't enrolled yet, and she's going to transfer to another school. I simply could not believe it because she's one of my near competition in the honor's list! She's a part of our first-honor-trio, as what I call it..hahaha..xDD I kept on commenting, or asking rather, "are you really sure? how about the SBO?". She was just shocked and said she would go to school today. I could not believe that she's transfering because no person would abandon her school like that, with a lot of achievements already, clubs joined, and awards garnered! And, she has already been studying at my school since kindergarten! Hmm..I just kept on thinking that she's just fooling me! haha..I'll just see when we come back to school, if I ever see her again there! And hey! Another one of my classmate commented that I wouldn't have competition anymore in the honor's list, and I would not be challenged! How the heck did he know that we're competiting?? LOL! But he's not correct about not being challenged anymore! I still have another of my close competitor! haha...and even though there's no more near competition anymore, I would still be challenged! I would forever be challenged and inspired in school! If I would not, then something really, really bad would happen, and you know what that is, right? I would lose that precious topnotcher rank! And that's the last thing I would want to happen, in school that is! The only one second honor we had in the honor's list there might be my one of my near competitors already! LOL! I'm so sorry that I always get paranoid to these matters! It's just that winning in school is such a big deal for me!

I'm just going to miss her if she will transfer! hahaha..xDD

You know what? I love the weather today! It's rainy and loud! It's been so long that I haven't smelled the scent of rain! I just missed it so much! :)

One thing I discovered about my bag: All 10 books could fit in it and it's still light! I'm so happy to discover such thing about my bag! I actually tried fitting all of my 10 books in my bag last night! Yay! Now, I shouldn't have any problem with my bag! Fitting things in it is not a problem anymore, I think! haha..xDD

I planned to take a picture of my bag this time but my digital camera has lowbat, and my camera phone cannot take a picture on low light conditions, or...maybe it can, but I could not find the settings! My phone is a Samsung m3510 by the way.

We're finally done covering my brother's books last night! My sister's books are the next to be covered, but we still hadn't got them yet! We'll get them next week!

And oh! Next Monday, the end of the month of May, is my baby brother's 3rd birthday! I'm so excited for it! We're going to Cocobay again! You know what again? We have another SBO appointment on that day, as what my fellow SBO officer had told me. It was an appointment where we're going to decorate bulletin boards. I replied to her that I couldn't attend that appointment because of my baby brother's birthday! You see, I could abandon not-so-important party events just for attending SBO appointments, but I COULD NOT abandon my own baby brother's birthday party! Never! That is how much I love my baby brother! Why is it that this organization seem to coincide with my important schedules?! The 2-day party timing, and this? Hmm...this is just really how the world works, or how life works! haha..xDD I just hate these bad timings.

You know what I observe from girls who have boyfriends? They tend to spy like crazy on them! LOL! I had a chat on many girls already who have boyfriends I know! And you know what we talk about? They tend to make a topic that would lead to knowing more about their boyfriend! haha..xDD How was he in our class? or I would tell them more about them! Hayy..ahha.. :/ Maybe that's just their role! They just wanted to know if their boyfriends are cheating on them or not. I sometimes adore what they're doing! They just wanted to have a healthy relationship, that's all, right girls-who-have-boyfriends? LOL!

Oh, I forgot to tell you! June 16, 2010 is our class opening! Again, the previous schedule was postponed! First schedule is on June 7, then next is June 14, and the last one is that! And oh! June 16 is a Wednesday, my favorite day of the week! haha.. :DD

Here are some questions! Again, it's OK if you won't answer all of them! :)
  1. Are you excited for school?
  2. Are/Were you an honor student too? Are you fond of competing with other honors in class? ^^
  3. Any great discoveries lately?
  4. Have you ever encountered bad timings? If so, tell me about it! :)
  5. What have you observed from teens who are in a relationship? haha.. :D
  6. When is your class opening! :)
Well, that's it for now! Thanks for reading! :D

I Was Out in an Adventure! :)

Hello there everyone! How are you all doing? If you ask me, I'm doing fine!

Yeah! I was out in an adventure last night...while reading my school books! I had already read 5 of these books! They are so interesting. You know, in Math, I had finally understood fully what a function is! haha..xDD And I knew that we're already going to be studying about E - Commerce in our Computer subject! ..and, Physics is all around us and in what we're doing! In Social Studies, hmm..last year, the book's language was English, but this year, it's already Tagalog. My English book had some great stories, as usual! Well, Filipino, as usual, gave me a little bit of a headache, as I was reading a native story with some hard-to-understand tagalog words. I just scanned the story..LOL!

We also covered our books! We slept very late! Thank God we finished covering all 10 books, even though we had numerous breaks, like on the Internet, having some snacks, and many others. Tonight, we're going to cover my brother's books!

Recently, I've planned that I will just seldom be online here on the Internet at night, because I'll read more of my books during that time! One fact about me, I concentrate in studying better at night! I had tried studying in the afternoon, long ago, during exam days, and I ended up not concentrating much because of tiredness and the INTERNET! haha..xDD In the morning, it's just a busy time for us to do some chores, that's why it's not the right time for studying.

Well, reading does bring us to an adventure, when we work out our imagination when we read! It's a great thing to do in our spare time!

Here's a some-kind-of essay about reading, I got it from: http://oh-some.info/

Reading skills are essential to success in society today. The ability to read is highly valued and very important for social and economic advancement. The following paragraphs will try to explain some of the important effects that reading books will have in a person’s life. In America today, most children are beginning or trying to talk around the age of two years. This is a time when language skills are just starting to develop. Even though it usually too early of an age to expect a child to read, there is no reason why the parent cannot start the reading process by reading aloud to them. Instilling reading into a child’s life can prove to be one of the most valuable skills that they will ever learn. As a result from reading books, the child will be more likely to read and speak in front of people. This is a very marketable skill to have in the workforce and for school. One of the effects that reading has on a person, is the ability to understand more terms or words, over a period of time. This is commonly 1 referred to as comprehension. Reading can be a challenge but is one that must be met accordingly in order to succeed. Children who are successful readers tend to exhibit progressive social skills.
This afternoon, in our place, there's going to be a possible brownout.

So, that's it for now! Short post! Thanks for reading! :)

I may continue this post later if the brownout doesn't end up at 6pm! :D

EDIT: Well, this afternoon, good thing we didn't have brownout! I spent the whole afternoon going to our nearby public market with my mother, sister, and brother! It was so hot, unruly, and something bad even happened to me, and I don't want to talk about it!! haha..xDD It's somewhat embarrassing! huhu.. :(

This afternoon was a sudden change of weather! One moment it's very, very hot, and the next thing you know, it would be very, very cold! And when it turned cold, I had just finished taking a bath! haha..xDD now I felt colder than ever! But it's all gone now, as in now as I was typing this post! LOL!

Some random thought here:

I'm very, very excited for school! I think I'm ready, well, not exactly! haha..xDD I haven't labeled my books and notebooks yet! I'm planning to label my books instead when I know which section I'm going to be in! Or..I'll just print my names with our class's two section names!

I'll cherish my time here in my blog! There are only a few weeks left before summer ends! During school time, I'm going to try my best to update this blog, while I'll also do my best to excell in my studies, again! :)

I remember from my summer-end post last year! I did watch TV shows a lot! Hmm..but now, I used Facebook, Tumblr, and Blogger a lot on the Internet! :D Things really do change! :)

Well, that's it for now! I encountered a problem here! huhu...thanks for reading this edit anyway! :D

New Stuff, Bad Weather, Enrollment, and Joketime! :)

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? Me, I'm doing fine! I think this is just going to be a short post since, well, I'm going to read my new books, the ones I got from my enrollment just this morning! Read on to know more about it! :D

Well, first, last night, we had a new TV Set! It's brand is Samsung. Again, I haven't taken a picture of it...Sorry. Also, our Internet Connection has timed out, that's why I did this, in Microsoft Paint:

Uh, again, I made it in MICROSOFT PAINT! hahahah..xDD What do you think? :) You can always click the image for a better view!

It took me around 3-4 hours to finish it, and "perfecting" it!

Before the Net Connection timing out, I, or my sister rather, found this cool new music of Lady Gaga! Watch here! :)

Reloaded! :D

By the way, thank you so much to those who commented on my last post! I really appreciate them! I had fun reading those comments! Jhiegzh/Jose of http://jigzmoreinfo.blogspot.com/, Ceedee of http://www.random-bitch.blogspot.com/, Sasari/Julius of http://pico-x-12.blogspot.com/, and Stella of http://tomoenishi.blogspot.com/, thanks! I never knew Trigonometry could be so easy, like what you all said! Hmm..I always thought Algebra could be easier..LOL! Thanks to those who expressed their opinions!

This day, we had a bad weather. Just this afternoon, it rained very hard, and since I'm near the window, I was hit by the showers of rain! It was very windy, cold, loud that I could turn my computer volume to half level, and many things that we could describe about the hard rain!

So, we finally enrolled to school! I enrolled in the Capitol University Basic Education Department, the High School and Grade School of Capitol University! Who among you know that school? hahaha..xDD The school is located in my hometown, of course! :)

We got our books too! And I'm so happy that we have FEWER books this year! I could jump for joy! LOL! From 14 books last school year, we have only 10 books this year! Yay! Here are pictures of my books!

But, too bad we forgot to get our report cards! Maybe we'll come back to school next week to get them! I'll show you my final grades! Yay! :D We'll also buy new uniforms!

And...here's what my mother found on the net! I'm very sorry for those who don't understand Bisaya! But for those who speak Tagalog, maybe you can understand some parts! Bisaya and Tagalog are a bit, the same!

So, here it is!

jokeTime bisaya espesyal

Enjoy! :)

Well, that's it for now! Thanks for reading! Bye! :D Hope you enjoyed reading my post! :)

Addiction, Fun, Excitement.. :)

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? Me, I'm doing fine!

I've recently been addicted to some upbeat songs, like the first song on my playlist, California Gurls by Katy Perry Feat Snoop Dogg! I discovered it in US Billboard's Website! Today, I'm currently listening to Christina Aguilera's Not Myself Tonight! You know, in her music video, just in my opinion, she looks somewhat like Lady Gaga! haha..xDD Don't you think? Her hair, makeup, clothes, and everything? Too bad YouTube's music video of that song isn't available in our country, the Philippines, for me to prove..ahaha... I just watched on Channel V, or was it MTV, on TV. Here's the song by the way: (Just click this link! - Right click and click Open Link in New Tab if you still want to proceed reading this post!) And oh, maybe you can try visiting Christina Aguilera's website for the music video!

When I was using the Internet, I researched about Trigonometry, Investigatory Project, Paypal Eligibility, and many other things!

I have learned that Trigonometry is a branch of Mathematics that deals with Triangles, particularly Right Triangles. Here is a definition from Wikipedia:

Trigonometry (from Ancient Sanskrit "trikona" or triangle and "mati" or measure or from Greek trigōnon "triangle" + metron "measure")[1] is a branch of mathematics that studies triangles, particularly right triangles. Trigonometry deals with relationships between the sides and the angles of triangles, and with trigonometric functions, which describe those relationships and angles in general, and the motion of waves such as sound and light waves.

That's pretty much the general thing I know about Trigonometry! That subject by the way is included for Junior Year, that's why I've been studying about it.

Now, about the Investigatory Project, my mother told me to research in advance about it, so that I could already be well-prepared for the preparation of the Science Congress! I, along with my future group, would want to be one of the Top 3 among other participants and their projects! Being Top 5 is also OK, but Top 3 is better! When you have been a reader of my blog for a long time already, or at least since September, you could have read about our group qualifying for the Top 5 of the Investigatory Projects, with me being happy and all, that I could really thank with all my heart all who have been part, or responsible, for our success! I would want that to happen again, but even more glorious!

So far, I haven't chosen some Investigatory Projects yet. There are A LOT to chose from! I could not tell which is the best among them, just yet! I'll still research and observe about the environmental and social problems that could be my basis for the project! Last school year, we picked the problem of annoying mosquitoes, that we would make Lemongrass as an alternative to the expensive Insect Repellents. The project was a success, since it won one of the top projects! I wish I could still think of a better problem! Can you suggest some, guys?

I would want our project to be uncommon, please? :)

Oh, for the Paypal Eligibility, have you wondered why I had researched about that too? It's because I had a chat with a person who earns money online, about who he is, how he earns money, about blogs, and many others! He says he has a Paypal account, even though he is below 18 years of age. Then there, I researched about Paypal eligibility!

I also had fun reading some blogs! And when I was going to sleep already, I read my Second Year High School English book (Linking the World Through English - Diwa Asia Publishing Group), well, I actually read some stories there! One story I've read is entitled The Rain Came, by Grace Ogot. It's about a girl named Oganda who has to be given up to the lake monster to die for their country to have rain. She's the only daughter of their country's chief, Labong'o, among the 20 children he had. It was really so depressing for the family to think about why, of all the women in their country (Kenya), their ONLY daughter was chosen. People showed no sympathy of Oganda's coming death, instead, they told her what an honor she's been given that she is to die for her country's survival, as said by their ancestors. A lot of gifts had been given to her, and big feasts and presentations had been prepared. A few more moments before she is to pass away, a lot of people came to see her for the last time. She's becoming tired on her way to the lake, then Osinda, her love interest, came to her and said that they should go to a sacred land, but Oganda is very reluctant on agreeing with him, since it's almost sunset and she needs to fulfil her duty. Sunset came, and even though Oganda had not given up herself to the lake monster, the rain came! Thunders roared and winds blew, just as what should happen upon her disappearance! It ended untragedically after all!

I'm loving reading more and more! :)

Today, this morning, I woke up earlier than usual, at around 8:30-9:00am. The brownout started at, I think, around 10:00am. I still had time for breakfast after all!

We had Chowking Chicken Laureate for lunch! When the electricity came back, I cleared the table and went to my laptop to use the Internet!

By the way, in Facebook, something gave me some creeps..hahaha..xDD Have you received this chain letter?

hi...im Teresa Fidalgo. Today I turn 26 years of being dead, if you don'tsendthis to 20 people I will sleep by your side tonight FOREVER If youdon'tbelieve it google my name and you'll see.this is true
I thought, "Oh come on! This isn't true! hahaha..xDD". Although it gave me some creeps! I didn't pass it..LOL! The girl being referred there is true, but about the "if don't send this" thing, I believe it isn't true! I should really ignore this already! :)

I hate these kinds of chain letters!! >:O

Oh man, sorry to scare you guys with it! :O

I had enough of scary stories! First from Jose's blog, and now, this?? LOL!

Today also, we should have enrolled, but because of the weather, it was postponed! Why do things like this happen at the wrong time? I hope the books could be released already, because I would want to see how hard or easy the lessons could be! I heard that new subjects that we would encounter include Trigonometry, Physics, Research, Journalism, Advanced Algebra, and a lot more! Can you tell me about those subjects? Anything you can say? :)

June is fast approaching! School, and my blog's anniversary, are also fast approaching! My blog is turning one year on June 11, 2010 by the way! :) I will make my post grand for the anniversary!

Hmm..my teachers aren't sure yet when the opening of classes would be! My schoolmates who had summer classes said that June 14 is the class opening. So, I'll just assume it as is! :D

By the way, I sometimes wish my schoolmates, or classmates, could read this blog! hahaha..xDD This blog of mine is somewhat semi-private! :)

OKAY! Here are some questions I would want to ask you: It's OK if you can't answer some questions! :D
  1. What genre of music do you like? What do you think of Christina Aguilera's music video, IF you have seen it?
  2. Anything you can say about Trigonometry, Physics, Research, Journalism, and many more subjects that we could encounter in Third (3rd) Year?
  3. Can you give me some ideas for my Investigatory project?
  4. Have you encountered the chain letter? Did you pass it? Do you believe in it? LOL!
  5. Who among you have enrolled to their respective schools already? :)
Well, that's it for now! Thanks for reading! :) Hope you enjoyed reading my post! :D

Great Discoveries! ;)

Hello everyone! How are you all? Me, I'm fine as always! Sorry that I haven't updated that much these last few days! I'll tell you some things I've been doing!

Last Friday, May 21, during the morning, we went to Coconut Bay Resort to have some partying and swimming, with my father's co-lawyers! I had fun learning how to swim, putting myself underwater for a short while, which is somewhat a kind of step to knowing how to swim! Yeah, my sister and brother did this, and now, they knew already how to swim! Me, I don't know yet how to swim. Too bad..huhu..read on to know about it.

Okay, this afternoon, I went to school for the Student Body Organization Leadership Training Seminar (SBO LTS). Yeah, you might think that I wouldn't attend to that seminar ever again (LOL) but my co-SBO officers said that my attendance would be wasted if I wouldn't attend to this last day of the seminar. It turned out that they were right. If I wasn't able to join the last day of the seminar, I wouldn't have been able to receive my Certificate of Participation at the closing program, and I also wouldn't have learned about how you express yourself in a meeting, like saying "I would like to raise a motion..." or "Second the Motion", or the "Motion for reconsideration", and what the secretary's job during the meeting would be, like taking down what's happening, what they're saying, and a lot others! I also learned some tips about the minutes of the meeting, the dos and don'ts during a meeting, the difference between a legislative and executive meeting, which is that the legislative meeting is lead by the Vice Governor Internal and the executive meeting is lead by the Governor.

We also had a game wherein we would utter words as we pass one object from one person to another. The rule is that we get an object with a one-syllable name. Then, one person would collect all those objects from us. That person would pass the objects to the person next to him/her, then saying, for example, if the object is a phone, he/she would say what the thing is, and the person next to him/her would say the next thing to say, like, here's the pattern,

"This is a phone. - a what? - a phone. - a what? - a phone. - Ooh, a phone!!"

It might be very confusing at first, but you'll get the hang of it! We formed a circle during the game by the way. During the game, I did not enjoy it at first since I could not get the hang of it. Till the end, I still did not enjoy that much, but as days passed, I realized that I should have been enjoying myself with that game (and other games as well), since not all of my schoolmates know how to play it, and me, and my co-officers, are the ones who knew how to play! It was such a great opportunity for me to be one of the Student government officers, and one of those with the highest positions (Assistant Secretary), which, I am on the fourth highest position! :D

After that game, we took a break, had some snacks, and had our closing program! Yay! At that program, there were various presentations from the Capitol University Central Student Government (CU CSG) (the people who facilitated the seminar), from us SBO officers, and a lot more. As presentation from us, we sang "Out of Reach by Gabrielle". Too bad I don't know the lyrics of the song! If I only knew, I could sing my heart out with my fellow presentors! But it's OK, it's OVER! haha..xDD Next, we received our certificates of participation! Too bad I did not take a picture of it so that you all could see! I'm so happy that my re-attending of the seminar payed off!

By the way, as we had a meeting for the closing program, when we got to the intermission numbers, one CSG officer suggested that I would sing for the program! I thought, "Oh man! How would I put this up?? I don't know how or what (rather) I should sing! When it comes to people letting me sing, my brain turns blank of what song I should sing!". Good thing another CSG officer suggested that another one of my fellow officer should sing, since he's "entertaining" and all, because of his chubbiness! The reason by the way why the other CSG officer suggested that I should sing is because he thinks I have one of the best voices (LOL), hmm..which I could not believe! Votation came and me and my chubby fellow were in a tie! The Vice Governor voted to break a tie, and you know which side she voted? The chubby fellow's side! haha..xDD thank goodness!

On the evening of that day, brownout came! I fell asleep while waiting for the electricity to come again! My parents, who where awake the whole night, said the next morning, that the electricity came back at around 10:30pm. Hmm..I really thought that the electricity would go back early but it turned out that I was wrong! With that time, I could not resume with my Internet! haha..xDD I fell asleep at around 9:30pm, I guess. I woke up just hours later, at 12 midnight, to brush my teeth, then went back to sleep again. You know, we ate a lot of junkfoods on this day. Thank goodness I woke up to brush my teeth, since I think junkfoods destroy our teeth little by little if we don't brush our teeth.

Last Saturday, and Sunday, May 22-23, we had shopping the whole afternoon! On the Saturday, we bought some swimming goggles and baked goods! Then on the Sunday, we went for a grocery, and bought some oh-so-yummy Goldilocks foods! One of my favorites there in Goldilocks is the Sotanghon Guisado! I also tried another of their food, the Orange Chicken, and long ago, the Bistik Tagalog! They're oh-so-delicious! I couldn't get enough! Take a look at their food here! http://www.goldilocks.com.ph/products/

These last few days were really tiring!

You know why I made "Great Discoveries! ;)" the title of my post?

Again, while here on the Internet, I learned a lot of stuffs, especially on Tumblr! I also saw some eye-candy pictures, like pictures of food, accessories, and a lot more that are worth a like and a reblog!

These accessories are cool!

I would love it if my future house would have this room filled with water! haha.. :D Water is my favorite element! :)

Also, check this out! http://ini-mini-maini-mo.tumblr.com/post/624728935/useful-sites-online-editors-links-and-buttons-etc This is where I've learned a lot! And, err..there are still a lot of things I've learned aside from these! :)

Play a song here too! http://vanesanice.tumblr.com/post/624689297/sheilaistheman-baby-i-love-you-i-never! I heard Bret Jackson of Pinoy Big Brother Teenternational sang this song! :D I haven't actually heard him sing it, since I don't watch PBB, because, simply, I can't watch it! What do I mean? I'm here in front of the computer using the Internet the whole evening, and when I'm watching TV, I couldn't even catch up the show, since I don't know what time it starts, but I know what time it ends, at around 11pm!

Another picture here!

Aww! Aren't they cute? I would love to have these kinds of puppies!

Today, I've learned some new sites too, where I could read very interesting and heartwarming short stories! Like http://lovegivesmehope.com, http://givesmehope.com, http://www.sixbillionsecrets.com, and many others! This time, I discovered these on Facebook, when one friend of mine "liked" a story from them, then I clicked those stories, and the website where it came from appeared!

Want to read some? Here they are:

My parents have been married for 35 years.

The other day my mom told me that when my dad calls her up at work to see if she wants to grab a cup of coffee, she still gets butterflies in her stomach.

Their everlasting love GMH.

My little sister came home from school one day and demanded I take her to the library so she could get books on sign language.

I asked why? She told me there was a new kid at school who was deaf and she wanted to befriend him.

Today, I stood beside her at their wedding watching her sign... “I DO”.

My friend just uploaded a picture.

It was a field of tulips. He then tagged about 15 people, including me.

This is the first time that i've felt pretty in a very long time.

By the way, my father went to Butuan a while ago. Too bad I hadn't kissed him goodbye because I was still asleep at that time! He went home just now, and again, too bad I haven't got inside that airconditioned transportation he rode! haha..xDD at least he's back! I missed you, Papa! :)

Well, that's it for now! Hmm..this is what happens if I have been out of the blogging world for quite some time! I would have a long post when I come back! haha..xDD Hope you enjoyed reading my post! Thanks for reading! :)

So, Imma tell you about my ------ day! You know what is the word covered in dashes? Yeah, today for me is an "effin" day. I'm not liking this day at all. I thought I would enjoy the SBO Leadership Training Seminar but I was wrong. I was bored and a bit sleepy most of the time. I stayed at school for the whole day. You know how much I love to stay at school, but not for some tiring seminar and all. The seminar was held very early! Yeah, the time for it is 8am. I woke up at around 5:50 in the morning! I actually prayed to God that I would wake up early for today (and tomorrow), that's why I woke up that early! Woah, prayers do work!

You know why I'm not liking this day? It's because of all the missed fun (and food) my family had this day and tomorrow. Poor me! Staying at school with nothing to do but sit down and listen to discussions, and playing some games, which are kind'a fun, but I had no mood to play during that time that's why I didn't enjoy that much.

Despite not enjoying, I learned a lot from the seminar. I took down a lot of hurriedly-written notes, like these!

This is my nametag.. :)

These are just some of my notes:

Sorry for the bad quality of the photos! I took it with a camera phone.

We mostly took down notes during the morning. But before that, we had a game, where we need to sing "Shaggy-shaggy sha poo-poo" or something like that while imitating dancesteps made by your partner, and the other, and so on. Too bad I lost, now I have to make a presentation for tomorrow, but you know what? I'm so happy that I didn't have to perform tomorrow! My mother says that I should go with them to Coconut Bay Resort and enjoy! Thank you Mama! :)

In the afternoon, we had some discussions and some games. One is how to solve a yarn trick. I think the trick is called Fishing Spear. Other yarn tricks can be found here by the way: http://www.alysion.org/figures/introkids.htm

Another game is, uh, I forgot the name, but it's about having a rubber band tied with yarns that we would pull to get plastic cups to the destination and make a pyramid out of them. Of course, the first one to finish is the winner. And our group won! Yeah, I should be happy, but too bad there was no PRIZE!

The next game was Pinoy Henyo, you know, a game from Eat Bulaga, but I don't watch that show, I'm a Kapamilya! Now, because of not watching that show, I wasn't really good at playing. It took me a long time to ask what kind is this and that. I was kind'a embarrassed, that others know how to play that good and I don't.

You know what made me a bit happy today? A text message by a friend of mine, and the invitation my family told me for tomorrow! And good that I recalled some of my fellow SBO officers who didn't join the seminar! One officer is an honor student too, so, you know what I do sometimes, make them my role model..haha.. :D Besides, it's still summer, we're still free not to go to school!

Well, that's it for now! I'm so cranky and sleepy while writing this post, so, sorry for my rants and some bad things I may have said. And oh, I still need to drop by some blogs that I tagged in my post! :) Thanks for reading! I hope you would all repost this! :D

When Love Takes Over! :)

Hello everyone! How are you all? I've been out for a few days! It's because I have nothing interesting in mind to blog about, well, just some things that happened to me during the day, or maybe also it's because of the many distractions that I have, like, as what I had told you one of my previous posts, the opening and closing of tabs, chatting on Facebook, the flooding of my Tumblr Dashboard which I have to open for something interesting to reblog and like, the annoying sound when a new Plurk has come on my Plurk Homepage, and, there are pretty much a lot!

The title by the way is a song by David Guetta ft. Kelly Rowland, When Love Takes Over. I actually heard it the second time on MTV Channel, and loved it, then listened to it again on the Internet. Wee! Another out-of-the-topic title for the post..haha!

Well, last Monday, we shopped for school supplies! (Yay!) I get even more excited when we do something that's related to school! I really love the notebooks we had bought, as well as the pencil case, the pad paper, folders, envelopes, and a whole lot more! It's good that we shopped on a weekday, because when we did not, there would be A LOT of people at the mall! I recalled when we shopped just last Saturday, when we checked National Bookstore as we planned to buy some school supplies at that time, there were PLENTY of people! We made a second thought of not pushing through that for a while. We shopped for it instead on this last Monday. Wish I could take a picture of them, but oh lazy me, I did not..LOL. And besides, I'll just take a picture of them if they're all ready for school, you know, when I had stuck nametags already and all!

I also discovered this story-sharing site called Wattpad. I love the stories in there, especially the story on one of the hot list, "I'm Pregnant with a Guy I hate the most!" or something like that! The story has some, well, uh, mushy moments. I did not finish reading it until the end though, It's too long!

I discoved Wattpad by the way when one of my friend/neighbor tweeted that she's currently writing something there. I also love her story! I'll come back later to check that she has finished it already or not. The story, another by the way, is about romance, well, maybe between a Filipina "Supernot" and a Korean "Superstar". The story is entitled "Superstar and the Supernot" or something like that.

When I was going to sleep, I kept on thinking about those stories, how good they are, for me, I guess. As a result, I woke up very early on the next day, at around 4:30 in the morning, then I plurked on my mobile phone good morning so that I could look back how early I woke up (haha!). I also checked my Facebook for some notifications. I got up at around 6:30am, and turned on my computer and read the stories! I recalled another time when I also woke up this early, when I had read Twilight online! That also happened to me at that time.

I also discovered this site: http://tumblrstats.com/ --It tells of my Tumblr Statistics of course! Oh, here's my Tumblrstats: http://tumblrstats.com/vanesanice. I finally knew when I had started using Tumblr! Oh man, I thought it was in August but it was really on October. It's because I always thought that most of my social sites' birth take place on the month of August, just like Facebook, Plurk, my inactive Friendster, and might as well Twitter! Well, I dunno, maybe I always have the interest on making an account on that month..haha..xDD

I've also been listening to Korean songs! Again, as what one of my previous posts (waayy back) has said about me, I'm a fan of KPOP! Here's one song that I have been listening! I so love the beats of their songs!

You know what one thing I hate? Bad timings! So, how does this relate to what I'm going to say? Okay, maybe I already told you about the SBO (Student Body Organization) Leadership Training Seminar (LTS), that it falls on May 20-21, 8am-5pm. The Beach Party at our nearby resort, Coconut Bay Resort, falls on the 20th, 11am-3pm. Then, attendance is a MUST for the LTS, but the party is not a must, but then again, I really wanted to join because it's another chance to swim my heart out that I'm going to enjoy it! My sister kept on making me feel bad about not attending to the party because of some appointment! My whole family, except me, would attend that party with some of my father's co-lawyers. I bet they would have fun with the swimming, chit-chattin', and a lot more! But oh, one former SBO officer told me that it's going to be fun, and she misses that fun! So, I better feel good about the seminar! Maybe I'm going to have as much fun as hers too! And oh, another! I'm going to learn a whole lot more from that seminar, increase my leadership skills, train me to be socialized, and many others. OMG! It's already going to be tomorrow! I should sleep early this time so that I could wake up early too, and change my wake-up time from 11am to sometime before 8am. I'll prepare an alarm from my cellphone later! I should wake up at 6:30am tomorrow! Besides being disappointed about the bad timing, I'm pretty much excited about, well, tomorrow!

I had read this post of my co-blogger, Jose: http://jigzmoreinfo.blogspot.com/2010/05/after-so-much-pain.html. It talks about a thing called LOVE. Yeah, the saying, after our heart's broken, it would never be the same again. And oh, I got this quote from the post!

Never be fooled by your heart because its real purpose is NOT TO LOVE...but TO PUMP BLOOD! You should know that.
I really could relate to this quote...hahah.xDD I've always wondered why most people refer to the heart when it comes to love. Maybe because it's the one that reacts to love, when it beats faster than ever..LOL.

I almost forgot, this day, my mother, me, my sister, and my baby brother went for a highway drive again, and also went to school. My mother's getting better in driving now! She's a bit faster already, faster than the last time we drove to school. Congrats, Mama!

Wee! While the car's running, I took some pictures of myself! How vain could I ever be? LOL.

Here's one picture, which I made as a primary pic on Facebook and Plurk:

You can add me on Facebook, as long as you'll identify yourself as one of my affiliates, because I'm really, really careful about the people I add as friend on social sites! It's OK for me to add foreign friends, (as long as they are girls), so that I could learn from their language and culture!

*sigh* I kept on forgetting about scanning, I mean taking pics of my baby pictures! You know why I strikethroughed the word "scanning"? It's because we don't have scanners. It's too bad that our scanner back then, a long time ago, was damaged, and I think we had no plan of buying one again. A scanner is really useful, isn't it?

You know, I'm planning about subscribing to Blogger Mobile. I'm still deciding about whether I should go on with it or not, since I'm thinking that maybe with this, I could view my blogsite from my phone. Have you tried Blogger Mobile already? Tell me about it if you wish!

Whew! This post is really, really random! So much for being out of the blogging world for a few days! My post is very long, isn't it?

That's it for now! Thanks for reading! Don't forget to scroll down for some advertisments for you to check them out!

That's Life..haha.. :/

Hello everyone! Wondering why that's the title of my post? Read on to know.

Okay, has anyone seen the eclipse tonight? Me, I've seen it, but just on the computer screen, and not the actual one! fhufhu.. :'( It's too bad I haven't looked outside and see it a while ago. I tried to see it now outside but I couldn't see the moon anymore. But it's OK. That's really life! Here's the picture I found on Tumblr:

From http://piyaisapiyaya.tumblr.com/

It's the eclipse of Venus by the moon.

Aww..it's so beautiful! A one-eyed smiley as some describe it!

This one's a buzz on many social networking sites, like Facebook, Tumblr, Plurk, maybe Twitter, and a lot others! I thank you all for posting these pics! If it weren't for you I wouldn't have seen this majestic sight, even though it's just here in my computer screen. But at least I saw it!

I saw a schedule of some extraordinary sightings from the sky here: http://home.mira.net/~reynella/skywatch/ssky.htm

Oh, we're going to see another of this, this coming June 7, and more coming dates!

Aside from that, yesterday, we had shopping the whole afternoon. We shopped for new shoes, bags, food, and we dined in at Jollibee! We ate the famous Yum Burger, French Fries, and drank some Coke. We were so tired from shopping that I wasn't able to blog about it yesterday. I wasn't able to take a picture of it too, because my mother says that I would just make it a surprise, someday, when I'm going to use them...haha..xDD yeah, I agree with her! And maybe some of my classmates, old, and soon-to-be classmates, or schoolmates, could be reading my blog too, and another yeah, it wouldn't be thrilling to them anymore what would be my new stuffs!

I really love my new stuff for school, especially the bag! My bag has a Heartstrings brand, it has the color gray and white, the inside of it is made of canvass cloth, and the outside of it has waterproofish cloth.

And oh yeah! My father plans to buy us some new clothes too! I really love him for that, as well as my mother!

I revised my footer, since I thought the letterings are too big. Well, which do you like better? The old or the new? (to those who had visited my blog yesterday and the day before that.)

I thank my brain for opening out more good ideas of designs! hahaha.. :D And seriously, thank you God for it!

Well, that's it for now! Short post! I guess I need to sleep earlier tonight so that I could wake up early tomorrow! We're going to shop for school supplies this time. We're still just planning this, I don't really know if our shopping would go on tomorrow! Bye! :D Thanks for reading, and viewing! :)

Random Thoughts

Hey everyone! First of all, as what I usually ask you, how are you all? Me, I'm doing fine!

This afternoon, when my blog visit traffic was not yet heavy, I took my time making my new header, and footer. I was so inspired in making those blog elements! I had thought of making a colorful one, a header (and footer) that would really catch someone's attention when he/she sees it! So, what do you think of my new header and footer? Me, I think it looks great! Next, I'm going to plan making a signature, or a notice! You want to ask me where I did this? Hmm...I did not use Adobe Photoshop, instead, I used Fotoflexer.com. Fotoflexer is my alternative for Adobe Photoshop, since I don't have that software.

And this afternoon also, my mother practiced driving our car, and brought us along! It was so funny, because all of us in the car were very nervous, since my mother is still on-the-process of learning how to drive! When we finally arrived at school, I took a deep breath, thanked God silently that we arrived! I saw one of my teachers at school, and also my fellow SBO officers! We parked our car and my mother went to get some enrollment forms, so that we just have to fill that up at home. This made me even more excited for school! When we drove off to our house, we were once again nervous. And then again, when we arrived at home, we took a deep breath! Thank you so much God that we are still alive! Thank You for guiding my mother for driving at the highway! Many thanks for saving our lives!

One fact I learned about myself: I laugh uncontrollably when I get nervous! (LOL)

Yesterday, I searched in YouTube on where to download Adobe Photoshop (CS3/CS4). I had found these sites: rapidshare.com/files/175299901/Phot... and www.mediafire.com/?yoz2aww0zty

Which do you think is a more trusted site for download? I still have no plans on downloading either of these because I don't want viruses to come up on my computer. I'm not so sure on how to deal with those scary viruses! haha..xDD

Today, random thoughts are coming around my head! hahah..xDD When this happens, I usually spam on my Facebook wall, or my Plurk Timeline! Here they are! :D

You can always click the images for a closer view!

I thought of the silence of the Internet World, days to go before school, our SBO (Student Body Organization) Leadership Training Seminar which would be held next week, May 20 - 21, and woah, that's a lot of time off from the internet (8am-5pm)! I did some sharing of my websites, and oh, by the way, I haven't told you yesterday, my finger got hurt because its bone got detached, slightly broken, or something like that. My finger suffered from it because of playing basketball, when I tried to get the ball from the opponent, the ball pushed my finger so hard that it slightly broke it! It still hurts until today. My parents say that it will magically go away when you don't mind it...haha..xDD

I also sang (in my head) the third song of my playlist, Airplanes by B.O.B ft. Hayley Williams. And I also copy-pasted a fanpage name (on Facebook), "Okay, seriously, if you don't like me, don't act like you do!" which is really true, and I also feel and think the same way sometimes.

And that's not all I was thinking!

Take a look at my Plurk timeline here! I even thought of being a fashionista, which I LOLed, since I think I could never be one, because that's not who I am. I planned to post some of my baby pics here online! I asked the people of Plurk who among them have blogs, and who among them are Visayans! I thought that Facebook is getting boring, and that fewer people now are online there. I also said that I needed to stop giving in to temptations, like trying to copy other's work, and I'm glad I did not give in to that temptation, because if I did, I wouldn't had made an original header and footer!

I also thought of my being smart. Am I too smart? It's because I think I'm the only one in our school, high school in particular, who gets all 95-above grades in my card, but with only one 95-below grade, which I usually get in one subject on the first grading. And very few of my classmates talk to me, or mind me. I was sometimes a loner because of this extraordinary gift. But despite this, I am very, very thankful to God for this gift! It's OK if I don't have that much friends, I would someday get many of them when I grow up, because I recalled what my parents say, no person could ever resist on getting near a very smart person! But they also said that I needed to have some PR (Public Relations) too. Oh man, I really need to boost up my PR in third year, but still retain (or gain) my academics!

I would want my classmates to see a new, better me when classes resume! I'll prove to them that I'm even more determined on topping the class, and the extracurriculars, if possible! And even more determined to win more friends! ;)
